Hmm, okay then my method doesn't work for your monitor/tv as we're having the same problem.

Because my shell is visible too and it loads into the os but as soon as it loads the OS gui a gray screen comes up. I'm using ITmania's fedora32 and his background behind the tron lady is gray. Maybe you're using a different distro and it's showing you black? (it's an image not pitch black lack of image is what I'm suggesting) alas, my method doesn't work for you. Sorry to hear that.

Just as a final measure can you use the 5.3.7 kernel in my zip I uploaded for someone else?

you get anywhere? I am having same exact symptoms on pro on 7.55. Can install but many bzimage don't detect keyboard for me?? one that does black screen after install?

doesnt show any wifi adapters, im on gentoo with a ps4 pro. cant seem to be able to get any other distros working

What's the best Distro for PS4 Pro's? My Pro identified as Liverpool instead of Gladius on ITMania's distros. Seems like It's using base PS4 drivers for PS4 Pro.

I don't know for sure, but have you tried sudo dnf update -x kernel*,libdrm*,mesa*,xorg-x11-drv-a*

Not too sure, but I believe some PS4 Pro GPUs have not been fully taken advantage of yet.

While keeping specific things to PS4 intact, the command may pull shared Fedora 34 libraries to screw up things. I recently got a "letting NSF peers know" error (hang) at boot and deleting its symlink from /etc didn't help.

Though I had done some other changes to the system so I'm not 100% sure if the update command or the things I have done messed my installation, though NSF is related storage I believe, and I didn't do anything to HDDs.

I've been struggling with the ITmania manjaro lately.

Currently building llvm 13 to see if things get better. The built in arch 21.2 driver is broken on pros, no vulkan app launches, it completely freezes system with ability to move the mouse (x11 fuck up I guess).

The 20.3 drivers from his github work, albeit vulkan apps don't go full screen. If you make them FS, they freeze but luckily you can get out with the task manager. (use 960 x 544 windowed res for retroarch, choose 4x res and hide the taskbar for fake FS)

Tried a whole bunch of stuff like creating arch drivers from rpm fedora packages with bunch of compilation, manual PKGBUILD creation, keyrings, pacman.confs etc.

I fucking hate Linux. This system should be buried never to be earthed again. It clearly shows world needed more Steve Jobs' and no Wozniaks.

I have PS4 Pro (dont know which chip) I had the same problem with vulkan with fedora 32 however there is a solution to that
1) Go to itmania github and grab the latest drivers.
(you have to downgrade to llvm-libs-10.0.0-1.fc32.i686 in order for the drivers to install)
2) then go to itmania stable branch and grab mesa-vulkan-drivers-20.3.4-2.fc32.i686 (this should down graded only vulkan related drivers)
3) enjoy.

I just created a username to share my expericence for PS4 pro
I hope other ps4 pro users share their experiece also.

I really have questions for overclocking
did some1 try it, and does it really improve the performance ??

I install ITmania ,it don't work，I insall ubuntu ,it don't work too.
PSXITARCH LINUX V2 is installed it don't work too.
what can i do ? can you help me?

You don't need to downgrade llvm libs, just installing 20.3.4 with -Udd --overwrite "*" nameofthedriver.extension works (if it's arch on arch, otherwise use rpmextract.sh), that's how I used his "updated fedora 32" (it had 21 drivers) but it's suboptimal, because he doesn't provide Gladius drivers like the obnoxious mule he is.

And as I said before:

I can try but you need to be as specific as possible. Are you on base or pro, what's the model name? Are you trying on usb hard drive or usb flash drive? which kernel and intram are you using etc.

As I stated before I had the same problem with manjaro (freezes with retroarch full screen, vulkan based emulators not working welI).
I tried different distro so far (Manjaro. gentoo, fedora 32, and fedora 34) for now the most stable one is fedora 32
on fedora 32 I upgraded all the drivers to the latest except mesa-vulkan, so openGL is now the latest
all my emulators workings fine with vulkan or openGL (duckstation, rpcs3, dophin, and retroarch full screen mode)

just migrate from catjaro to fedora 32

p.s. I didnt try PC games on fedora 32

It has a performance problem on pros and one app I need but won't name doesn't have a gui for fedora 32.

TBH, I have come to realization that in no way pros will have a decent distro and I gave up. I currently have manjaro with 20.3 drivers and I don't care. Firefox and proton games work and I'm not striving for perfection.
