So I know that there is a wonderful Neo Geo Pocket Color Emulator for GBA, but sadly, the GBA just doesn't have quite the guts to run it at full speed.

Enter: GBA Accelerator mod! Which can speed up your GBA, from what I have read, up to 1.75X speed. From how Neo Geo Pocket Color performs on a standard GBA (if you don't know it runs fine without glitches, just rather slow), I suspect that 1.5X or 1.75X speed would make this one emulator now capable of running quite beautifully.

Does anyone have this installed? And have they tried it out with the NGPC Advance Emulator?

I am also curious as to the degree this mod helps SNES Emulation on GBA.

I have never been a fan of overclock mods on most consoles until you hit "basically a PC architecture" type things or things that otherwise decouple clock from play. The GBA is not that and most code I imagine would also be designed to play to the very specific timings of the GBA and its associated onboard stuff. This also says nothing of the strain such things tend to induce in the hardware (heat, if they are done badly then screen too, battery could be a thing but I have no problem with people playing them attached to the wall)

SNES emulation. Tends not to be slow as much as complete lack of special chip support ( https://web.archive.org/web/2014112...index.php?title=SNES_games_with_special_chips ), layer issues, resolution issues and (lack of) button issues. You might get a few extras though and punt a couple of games up the playable list.

The gbaaccelerstor doesn’t work with the ez flash and the team already said that they don’t plan on supporting it

as soon as you change the clock speed the cart freezes
