Hacking Trying to downgrade from Firmware 11.0.1

Hello,

I've been searching alot for information, believe me... And now im not even sure what to google anymore or on what step im doing wrong , if any helpful soul would help me i would be super happy, since my 6 year old is killing me soon.... and im out of ideas.

I had SX os, i am not that technical so i figured it would be the appropiate solution, and it has worked for 2 years now. This time i updated to firmware 11.0.1 and its not support by SX OS , and regarding the current events with SX OS im not sure it will ever come another update, i will need to change solution im aware of that but for now i just want to downgrade my Nintendo to firmware 11.0 and run SX OS for a while.

So what i did then, just some BG info, i did a full nand dump before i started to use SX OS and it was firmware version 6.20, and since then i've been using a dongle to boot SX OS and just play my games.

When i updated to 11.0.1 i get blackscreen cause the lack of support from SX OS.

I did then get a tip to install Atmosphere to downgrade, and i did. So here is what i have done and whats wrong.

* Took a new SD card, formatted it with EXFAT
* downloaded hekate_ctcaer_5.5.1_Nyx_0.9.7.zip , and the fusee-primary.bin "
* installed TegraRCMGUI on my Windows PC and started with the payload ( hekate_ctcaer_5.5.1.bin , cause i thought here i could do something more then inside the atmosphere but i couldnt , so from hekate i loaded the payload fusee-primary.bin "
* i then actually could boot atmosphere, and from there i could enter choidjuournx , i didnt look to closely im afraid so i updated to firmware 11.0 but as i noticed, i updates from 6.20 ( my full nandbackup ) which i think is the Synand? so anyhow, i updated the sysnand from 6.20 to 11.0 and it workes fine but i cant seem to enter my emmunand which is at 11.0.1.

* I then switched to my old SX OS SDCARD cause it has to have my emmunand i figured, but still the same, i get in to the sysnand with firmware 11.0 and it has no installed games of saves,

My question: How do i pick what to boot? inside hekate i see BOOT0 and BOOT1 i guess i need to make it boot BOOT1 instead of BOOT0? just what i think... sorry for the bad english and non technical knowledge, but ive tried i promise.

I don't think you can boot emunand on an unsupported firmware (like 11.0.1). Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Not sure if this helps, but you might be able to extract the saves from your emunand. Create a new emunand with your current sysnand using the sxos menu. Then reinject those saves into that. Never have done this but worth a shot. If anyone wants to chime in....if your sysnand is on 11.0. make the emunand from that. Don't update to 11.0.1, because you can't make an emunand from that. It won't boot.

If you already had emunand all you needed to do was use choidjuournx to downgrade to firmware 11

When downgrading across major firmware versions, save data has to be lost in order to perform the downgrade so without a backup, they are lost forever.

Hi guys

I have a Switch v1 with SX Pro since 2018 and in December i made the bad decision to update from 10.0 or something like that, directly to 11.0.1 without checking the forums and...yes...bricked.

So i let it sit a couple of months, hoping that they would update the SX Pro but still nothing so i tried to check and downgrade my switch.

I followed a couple of tutorial, this one (it seems that i cannot post any links - the name from youtube is - Downgrade SX OS from 11.0.1 to 11.0.0) being the starting point and i manage to get to a point where i could access the OS and downgrade with Daybreak and/or ChoiDujourNX and it still doesn't work.

So I manage to start Hekake and create emuMMC, after that i do a clean-up and start Atmosphere.
From here, i downgraded several times with Daybreak and once done and checked in settings that i was on 11.0.0, I added some games onto the card and I tried to install something and it didn't work, either by crashing, either by telling me that i need an OS update for it to work (including old games like bomberman or snipper clips).
I then added ChoiDujourNX and instead of Daybreak, i performed the downgrade with it but still the same.
The OS is also giving me some errors or random crashes.

My question is:
Why, after the downgrade, when i reset the switch or delete what was on card, the OS is still 11.0.1, even though after the downgrade it showed 11.0.0? And i did this more than 50 times going from scratch after that youtube tutorial and still nothing.

Is there anything else i can do now?
Can you please point me in the right direction to a tutorial in english? (I found a tutorial in Chinese, i think, but i cannot understand what he's saying...)

Yeah. Stop downgrading. It makes no sense to do that.

Yes, but in this case, my switch is just paper weight...and yeah...i would like to use it one way or another.

You dont downgrade your sysnand, you create an emunand and downgrade it.

Ok, so this is the reason why the OS version remains the same. But how can I make it work? Can anybody provide a guide with the steps?

Just switch to Atmosphere.

I tried that, I am using Atmosphere to downgrade using this tutorial, but I do not know how to clean install and switch to Atmosphere from SX OX

You don't need to downgrade in general or to switch to Atmosphere. Instead, follow this guide on how to switch.
