I was on SXOS and the kids lost the SD card and the SX license file.

So I figured I would update to Atmosphere once and for all.

I followed the nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/user_guide/emummc/entering_rcm since multiple people recommended it
Everything worked great, as I finished the all the steps.
I am currently on 9.0.1 /AMS M.19.1/E using the Hekete 5.5.5 payload

I try to get Tinfoil 12.0 to work and it fails to install and just returns to homebrew menu
This is when I realize that I can't do anything until I update my switch up from 9.0 to 12.0.

I look up guides and update the Sig patches and add All-in-One Switch Updater to download the firmware update.
For some reason my switch is now in Applet Mode. When I try to download the 12.0 update, I get the error code of 2168-0002.

I believe this all has to do with Sig patches but I am not sure how to fix it or download the firmware without AIO Switch Updater.

Anyone able to help?
Thanks

1) What you need to use for most homebrew is the so called non-applet mode, you can access that the easiest way by launching any game or homebrew (except Tinfoil) while holding the R (not ZR) button even through account selection and loading screen.

2) I would not recommend using AIO for that, rather grab the latest firmware from Darth Sternies Firmware Archive (google) and manually place the files on your SD (extract the zip to a folder containing the files) and update with the Daybreak homebrew included in the Atmosphere package.

3) I would recommend using sigpatches by iTotalJustice (google) and not the one's from AIO.

4) Keep in mind Tinfoil doesn't really like if your Switch was booted with fusee-secondary through hekate, displaying a big red "no-no" screen if it can't find the license that you lost, in this case modify the boot configuration/inject fusee-primary directly.

Thank you for Darths. Downloading it now

I updated Sig patches originally from itotal. Not from AIO.

So just find the fusse payload and use that instead of hekete? I am a little confused on this step.

Thank you

The fusee-primary payload is available on the same page as where you get AMS from, attached with the other zips. If you inject it directly (only assumption because I only own a Mariko unit) you just need your payload injector to point to that payload, if you have a Mariko unit like me you can use SX Gear to launch fusee-primary instead of hekate by changing the configuration file (boot.ini) accordingly or hekate's configuration to launch fusee-primary instead of secondary (not sure on this part either because I only use secondary through hekate).

The firmware has nothing to do with homebrew applications not working. Firmware only affects official Nintendo Switch content. I do not recommend using the AIO updater for patches. I advise using this thread instead. Also, Applet Mode has always been there; its just that now you have a visual indicator. Booting the homebrew menu via an Applet, such as the Album, will display that message.
