If you dived A dumpster, I won't argueWent to dead schools and yoinked some crap; that kinda counts.
Never say never manWhere's "No, and I would never"?
Now this, is a thread I can sit back and enjoy watching.
During the making of this video, each member of the band was asked what their greatest fear of dying would be, and they enacted them in this video. So just knowing that they "conquered" their fears in this video has me giving them mad props. It's also been viewed almost 300 million times, so that's dope.Considering my questionable health and immune system, I don't plan on risking anything by jumping into a dumpster. This has pretty much always been my mentality on the idea of dumpster diving. I also wanted to include that I am terrified of maggots. So the idea of putting myself into a situation where I am surrounded by them would be living out one of my worst nightmares.

Their is a flea market near me, it's one of those places where people buy a stall in a small warehouse. Right when you walk in the door there is this bigger stall selling all kinds of old games. Unfortunately because it's an old game they over charge. Is rummaging through the flea market or garage sales not similar enough? Before the pandemic I did actually enjoy doing that from time to time, looking for old gaming, sports, or music memorabilia.
Straight-up sorting through piles of wet, sticky, and/or dirty garbage though? No thanks.
Understandably so. I'm immuno-compromised and have acute asthma. (COVID would probably kill me tbh) And the thought of "dumpster-diving" really grosses me out. I too hate maggots more than most people. I did janitor work for Walmart for 6 years, and have had all kinds of "garbage sauce" splash on me, wanting to die every time it happened. That's actually a pretty awesome story and I give them mad props as well. For me, this is one of those fears that's rooted in a few other issues involving my anxiety around my health. A less deep-dive into my mind, it's a fear of rot and what possible bacteria might be present that could affect my health. Chances are extremely high that this is a very irrational fear but in my book, it's not one worth testing my anxiety to confront.
