Well, if it is not even booting, you probably did it something wrong as the whole purpose of https://github.com/PabloZaiden/deviceid-exosphere-builder is to make your console boot. Is it stuck on the Nintendo Switch logo? Are you using the atmosphère version matching the one of your custom exosphère?

The prodinfo is what makes a console unique. When Nintendo decides to ban someone, they probably revoke some, or all, of the certificates that are contained in that prodinfo. The console verifies that the device id of the prodinfo matches the one from fuses at boot. Once you spoof that device id and it's booted, you could theoretically use the prodinfo as-is and connect to online services.

I never said unbanning was easy as this requires another, not banned, prodinfo. Nobody's gonna buy a new console to unban a previous one.
Not if the unique Id doesn’t match the unit, the serial number can’t be “exchanged “. It is “written “ in the chip, that’s why they are so many warnings about using Incognito, if you loose your backup, you will never be able to connect to Nintendo switch servers

It's not a miracle program. I would say get another Switch (or wait for Pro?) that is for legit online.

. Avoid any kind of piracy from now on and DON'T USE the transplanted console online
Yes, it has some probability of getting the other prodinfo banned. Doesn't mean it wouldn't work.

hehe yeah... I suspect two systems gets banned then x3
Not really a good idea indeed. Not many people have a spare prodinfo lying around anyway.

I agree, but do you understand that serial is unique and that’s the first thing Nintendo will ban ? The only option could be that the donor never go online

I didn't rebuild the NAND from scratch, I just injected the Prodinfo and used the exosphere. I'd imagine there's some sort of mismatch preventing boot.

could you use this to just add back the proinfo with the original serial for the switch as it's not a ban switch to get back online?
You mean simply changing the serial number in the prodinfo?

This wouldn't be enough. The device id is not the serial number and the device id is the important part.

when you say device id what do you mean? the BIS keys, add the serial back from a blank serial switch

The device id is a unique identifier derived from fuses. It is different from the serial number and can be seen in the prodinfo certificates as a hex string with the format NX6???????????????-0
