Looking to build a pc from scratch mainly for emulation to play backup of games of older consoles as my room is getting filled up with old consoles connected to the tv. Wanna be able to play wiiu and xbox 360 games at least in 1080 60fps.

Parts im looking at so far are rtx 3070 and amd 5700x with a b550 mobo. Not sure which of the 3rd party graphics card are the best for this and looking for recommendation of additional parts such as PSU etc.

Avoid AMD GPU for emulation, they have poor OpenGL performance and lack instructions for Xenia360.

For cemu I can run most of the games with a 2008 cpu and a GTX770 at 1080p 60 fps. Only zelda botw is around 30fps.

There are no 5700x cpus, just 5800x for now. Most of the (big name) 3rd party 3070s are fine, the best one is the one you can get your hands on. Chose the X570 Tuf mobo because it's tried and test and the X570 chipset has more features than B550 for not much price difference. The Crucial memory was chosen because it's price-performance-capacity is probably better than most memory kits out there.

Typically a CPU with less cores is better for emulation. I think RPCS3 is the only well known emulator that benefits from having CPUs with more cores- especially ones like the AMD Ryzen 5800x. But RPCS3 is for PS3.
For example- Cemu can only use up to 3 cores for the actual game- I think

I meant 5600x, so anyways for me 5600x would be better than 5800x. Also forgot to mention low sound is a big plus for me and i dont know whatss a good pc tower.
