- What firmware is support for CBHC and HC? The gbatemp community noob guide states supported version is 5.5.3, while the wiiu.hacks.guide states 5.5.4. is required. Which one do I need? I want to play all the possible games, meaning WiiU, Wii, and NDS/GBA/SNES.
- Can I play NDS/GBA/SNES/NES and some WiiU games on solely the WiiU gamepad, without a TV. Is this generally supported or is it unsupported on a lot of games/emulators?
I don't use the gamepad, but afaik 5.5.4 is Europe only. I think it's a change to the tos. there's no difference in installing cbhc from 5.5.3 other than the fact that it's actually uninstalled, if installed.
As a general rule, any Wii U software that only uses one screen supports GamePad only mode, be it official or homebrew. Some games that use both screens can accomodate a single screen too.
