Rename the bsa files. The archiveload line has a 1024 character limit. You're more than likely past that limit.That's crazy but i'm glad it worked out for you.
I've tried to load in 21 mods using the files and steps given in the plugin bypass guide, however my Switch will crash within a minute of trying to load Skyrim (the spinning Switch logo prior to booting Skyrim).
My list of plugins were:

I know some mods work fine as i've tried again just using Live Another Life and Insects Begone. For the USEEP I followed a guide posted on this board on using USLEEP files when doing the mod conversion. Had no errors in the log file.
Any advice? I'm wondering if Better Vampires is not compatible maybe.

you can rename bsa files with no issues to their esp namesI expected this, however I've shortened all of them except for USSEP which is still long so I'll try this.I've
just done a test now and removed USSEP, Better Vampires and Vilja which now makes Skyrim launch ok.
Will try this once I rename the BSAs

Or do I have to convert everything all over again with the shortened names?

My final real question is I have a preferred PC texture mod called No Blocky Faces, however there is no BSA or esp file as it's a replacer so just folders. How do I convert this to work on Switch? Thanks!

for just texture mods then yes you need to convert them as well, change the music on skyrim pc then convert it using the tool kitThat's the thing, like many texture mods it's just a set of folders in the zip. No esp or BSAs.
I know the NX toolkit can take these folders and convert the dds files into a BSA but without an esp how do I get this to work on Switch?
Also is it possible to replace the main menu theme on Switch as you do on PC? I tried the method of adding an xwm file with the correct file name for changing the main theme but still sounds the usual music in-game. Maybe wav format?

No....It has to have both parts.
Then I don't quite understand how Skyrim PC mods like No More Blocky Faces and Total Character Makeover work as they just have texture folders. No esp or BSA.
