Hello,

Many people have same problem Sunshine and Galaxy works nikel
But SMB 64 freezes as soon as you quit the game using the select menu or switch menu.
Force restart.
two hypothesis is it is a Nintendo protection for the future N64 games of the virtual console on switch
Either it's a bad dump

if there is a solution tell me here please

Why bother? There is a fantastic native port for Switch

While it's true and the homebrew is better in many aspects (widescreen, fps, texture mods, etc.) the official game has better joystick control, specially when walking slow. I guess it's because the Switch joystick isn't like a normal joystick, and the official release has it in mind. I tried both and it was quite the change, so I decided to have better controls over the other homebrew features.

I've played SMS ~1hour loading a xci through an external HDD but thats it, I won't install this or even try to load SM64, I've already got 120 stars on the port a few months ago... I will just wait for a legit release so I can install it and play sunshine on the go.

would it be as simple as dragging and dropping all the files?

If you don't have partition based emuMMC, then yes. If you have, then there should be programs out there for migrating emuMMC.

EDIT: Forgot you were using SXOS, not sure if the Migrate emuMMC option on a bootloader applies there.

I transferred mine manually(without homebrew/paid programs). And it was easy (for me). I've only done this on Linux(Ubuntu).

This might be pretty advanced, but I'll share my experience here.

I just cloned my sd card, creating a complete .img file, and restored it in the other sd card.

(On Linux it seems easier, haven't done it on Windows 10 *yet*.)

After, I just expanded the partition that is NOT emuMMC. Then I loaded Hekate and selected the Migrate emuMMC option. It worked very well for me.

Only downside is not everyone uses Linux, which can be pretty straightforward for some people, but not for everyone.

The leaked XCI has a ton of problems, as it was stated several times already. DON'T use it, just wait till friday for the NSP.

the leaked XCI has nothing to do with the problems, it has to do with function calls that CFW did not handle properly, which SX and AMS got an update to fix.

v8 out there...

-v8 includes support for new models such as the much requested sgi models

-Custom models and texture packs are now included in the nsp and can be swapped on and off via the pause menu

-New menu options are added such as being able to remain in a level after collecting a star and a mirror mode

-A new option to disable framepacing was added to prevent lag from custom models

-General bugfixes and improvements

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
