I bought a water damage switch lite to mess around with. The Lite had no display and once I cleaned off the corrosion and swapped the main ribbon cable around as some of the tracks had burnt out (waiting on new cable) I could get the Lite to boot to a blue screen.

Blue screen usually means bad Storage, Bad RAM or bad SOC.

In an attempt to reflow the RAM chips I accidently nudged one too far and messed up the solder balls underneath. It was at this point I got the no display/0.42a error.

I did a basic reball using a soldering iron on the RAM chip and Board and I ended up back at the Blue screen error. This would suggest that the no display/0.42a error could be caused by a RAM problem. It could be a broken RAM IC, bad joint or corrosion under the RAM chip.

I'm waiting on a stencil for the RAM chips to test this further as I have a few boards here with the no display/0.42a error and once I get the stencil I'll swap out some RAM IC's to see if it clears the fault but I thought I'd share in case someone has the tools to test it out before I get mine.
