So I read through some Ue4 pages about Dynamic Resolution but I still don't get it:
How can I change the settings so Max resolution will be set while having >=40 fps?

Im follow this post.. Kinda waited this game. I start playing yesterday, with 1.1+Sharpness1, today changed to 1.2+ Sharpness1.
Played mostly in docked mod, with max overclock (cooling mod applyed).
Question: witch pack is that contains the most stable fps (30 fps enough for me), with the best visual quality?
Or Im already using it? :)

You are already using it, atleast in my opinion
But tbh I still see no difference between Sharpness 1 and 0 (doesn't matter anyway if it doesen't cost performance)

You need to set budget for DR to 1/40s (which is 25 ms). Then if making frame will take more time than 25 ms, it will drop res.
I didn't check configs, but be sure there is no DR GPU Threshold line in configs to make this work properly.

Yeah, that's exactly what I tried yesterday, but nope, it just crashes.
Maybe I have to change some other settings as well for this (if its even possible), but as I said I'm not really interested to lern and "fully" understand Ue4 just because of this truly High-Quality port... But for that I have you guys and I'd be greatful if someone could help me with that <3

And my new thermal paste came today, so I'll post a temperature/fps comparison this evening for the old and new thermal paste.
(sure it is clear that it helps, but I think everyone is interested about how much it helps and if its even worth the struggle)

As for v1.2, I played about 2-3 hours with it and I must say that the game looks and (almost) feels awesome with it. I just think there are a few settings too high to get decent Fps even at 50% resolution (mostly in settlements with some enemies).
I'll try to lower some settings after the thermal paste story and see what I can do.
But I'm sure v1.3 is coming in the near future so thanks ecl0674 for the great work you did ;)

Well, I just open the pak files with notepad++ and had no problems with it yet, I'll try it later again.
pak sometimes uses hashes to check for edits. Editing in notepad++ can result in failed hash check.

Or you're changing filesize. You should use Hex Editor to edit any sensitive data.

For UE4 pak files we have u4pak and unrealPak.

Nvm it wasn't notepads fault, but mine.
I wrote =25 but it's supposed to be 25.00 ... well, it's never too late to learn :)

Edit:
Tried it out and works pretty good for now. HighRes with 40FPs is at least sometimes achievable compared to FrameTimeBudget with 16.66

Its funny how they released the game in such a bad state and the awesome people here got it running way better in under a week.

Great job to the people who made this game playable and thanks.
not that "way better", it's achieved with Overclocking. It's will choke your performance with stock clocks. Although I think they could have done better if they atleast improved TAA quality, TAA sharpness

Can i combine file HighReso config with file Patch1.2 config in the same folder paks?

Becuase i cant put a same name folder in one place?

I need combine high reso with more foliage in patch 1.2?

Thats the highRes ver with foliage.DensityScale and grass.DensityScale reverted to 1.
Should work, but I didn't try it

True. Not developers fault with that in mind, Nintendont's fault for not unlocking clock speeds in hand-held mode. :yayswitch:

Edit: I know they wanted to obviously save battery, but they could have done something like what we do w/ sysclk, higher clock speeds when plugged in..

Could someone provide a step by step guide on how to install these files. My Switch is hacked and primed but i have no idea where to drop the files. Also how do i overclck my switch?
