Tencent about to become Marvelous biggest shareholder

Tencent, through it´s subsidiary Image Frame Investment is buying a 20% stake in Japanese developer Marvelous inc.
They will spend around 7 billion Yen ($65 million) on Marvelous and become the company´s biggest shareholder.
Marvelous Inc. is known for the Rune Factory, Story of Seasons and Senran Kagura series.

Content is king, if not essential to your future wellbeing, and it is easier to buy content and content makers than it is to spin up your own from scratch.

Let's hope their games don't immediately turn to shit, as is the case for most developers that Tencent buys out. Tencent is China's equivalent of EA, after all.

nothing compared to Disney cauz they spend Billions to buy movie studios or FOX, other people like TENCENT just spend Millions on gaming studios.

it's universal-known that EA ruined so many talented studios like VISCERAL etc...., but can you pls name any studios ruined by TENCENT?
