Hello every one.
I'm Chris, a gamer from China, and recently I can't visit ps2-home which provide the latest unofficial OPL (Open ps2 loader) Daily Build for PS2.
And is there anyone help me to download the latest build file and send to me? The download url is "http://www.ps2-home.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3", and I need the latest build as follow:
LATEST OPL DAILY BUILD:
(NOTE: the links below will take you to the post where the files are attached for you to download. ;) )
OPL_1696_DB-TA_all-d6a4d41-2020-04-18.zip

And if there is a newer one please download it for me. and if possible, please find the language build file such as "OPL_(XXX)_DB_Langs_(XX)" for me.

Thank you very much!

And my email is: [email protected]

Spent hours looking for a working version of the OPL 10th Anniversary edition so that I could easily launch PS1 VCD files from my PS2 with FHDB v1.966 so happy that you posted this version as the OPL v1.0.0 that's included with the FMCB FHDB installer and latest OPL v1.1.0beta won't work without my APPS menu workaround that I'm sharing below.

I spent hours trying to launch PS1 VCD through these versions finding it almost impossible, foolishly thinking that the PS1 VCD games would show up in the PS2 HDD games list.... IDIOT MAN.... :)

I later discovered that this is mainly due to the fact that the menu option PS1 Games display mode is missing from all NON-TA (10th Anniversary) version's that can easily be downloaded for FREE from GitHub, as the normal website that hosts the OPL daily builds is no longer live.

After many hours I had a brainwave and finally I have managed to make my PS1 version of TOMB RAIDER VCD's launch in the non-TA versions using a modified conf_apps.cfg file that I already had in my +OPL folder from a few old Homebrew ELF's. If you don't have this file you can create the file that's called conf_apps.cfg on your PC only add the coderbreaker and swapmagic lines if you have the ELF files in the +OPL/APPS folder otherwise it might not work!

CODEBREAKER =pfs0:/APPS/CB92.ELF
SWAPMAGIC CODER =pfs0:/APPS/SMC38.ELF
TOMBRAIDER = pfs0:/POPS/SLES_000.24.TOMBRAIDER.ELF

add more ELF lines here if you have more VCD's.....

Here's what your PS2 Hard Drive folders and __.POPS partition must look like remember to use the same version of POPSTARTER.ELF that you used to create your PS1 VCD to rename it for the games ELF file that needs to be placed in the POPS folder otherwise it might not work, I used the file with the MD5

POPSTARTER.ELF 167,000kb from 2019 MD5: 4A39D44DFB477EA747F5CA5E39EE011E

I used the excellent PSXVCD v2.2 that has all the software including CUETOPOPS that are used to transfer your ripped BIN and CUE files to create your VCD files, then used OPL Manager v21.7 from 2020 by danielb to correctly rename the TOMBRAIDER.VCD file that PSXVCD created. So I guess it's also a good idea to rename the POPSTARTER.ELF to the same name, as shown below. Don't forget that you require the POPS folder in the +OPL folder to be copied to the __common folder as when you launch your PS1 games this is where your VMC games saves are stored under the corresponding game folder that's created by the software.

hdd:/+OPL/conf_apps.cfg
hdd:/+OPL/APPS/CB92.ELF
hdd:/+OPL/APPS/SMC38.ELF
hdd:/+OPL/POPS/SLES_000.24.TOMBRAIDER.ELF

add more ELF files in the POPS folder if you have more VCD's.....

hdd:/__common/POPS/IOPRP252.IMG
hdd:/__common/POPS/POPS.ELF
hdd:/__common/POPS/SLES_000.24.TOMBRAIDER.ELF

Create your POPS partition using the PS2 HDDManager as large as you want it...
hdd:/__.POPS/SLES_000.24.TOMBRAIDER.VCD
add more VCD files in the __.POPS partition if you have more VCD's..

However if you have any daily build version of the OPL_DB-TA_all most of your correctly VCD ripped PS1 games should work without using this workaround for OPL v1.0.0.

I used the files and the step-by-step basic guide for new POPStarter users by ShaolinAssassin on bitbucket.org that sadly doesn't mention that you need the TA version for his process to work.
