@JuanMena Thanks for the info. SoulSpawn let me know that Toki works fine with Core G as well. I found that Pac-Land works with Core A2. Robocop runs with Core D I believe - I've certainly been playing it. Like yourself, I use FBA's CPS1 core for Final Fight. Which RA version are you using?

The cores are from newer builds of Retroarch, only that I can't remember which exactly.
I too use the stand alone MAMEWII emulator to increase my MAME rom compatibility.

Ok, that link to MAME2003-WII-0.4.zip and I've already have it. But in this topic said about core b,b2,c2,d,d2 and more in the exel compatibility list.....

And, how correct use MAME2003-WII-0.4 as well?
- If i put retroarch-wii folder from that archive to my SD:\app, and then load from wii start menu by standart retroarch channel forwarder - i can't run any of my mame roms - it just exit to emulator menu after load archive rom and picked by which core it start.....

- If i take only cores.dol from MAME2003-WII-0.4 and put them to ather cores in retroarch folder ( i use standart latest retroarch 1.8.5 from official site) - I can't choose new cores afterl load archive....

- How did it use and where find other cores from "Mame2003plus - Compatibility list".xls

The alternative cores (B2, C2, etc) are included in the pack that you downloaded, in the "alt_dols" folder.

You need specific roms for MAME2003+, search "MAME 2003-Plus Reference: Full Non-Merged Romsets" in Google, I cant say anything more

Can I ask some more questions about it?

Which core I need to run cps avsp?

Why in Mame2003plus - Compatibility list.xls indicates that this should be used core G to play Battletoads, but if i chouse core G in battletoads , the input does not work only 1 punch button work. And control will work in G2 (alternative_dol).... And the same story with double dragon roms - it also does not work control at the F core, that iindicates in this Compatibility list, but work well at F2 (alternative)...
-Why is this so?

How can activate\make framework wallpapers on the both (left and right) sides of the screen, while play at 4:3 aspect ratio ( as example like a snes mini or nes mini) instead black boarders? - I saw it in some video at youtube

Why this usefull cores are not included in official reroarch relise?

If you want to play avsp or any other cps2 games (here's the list en.m.wikipedia.org/ wiki/CP_System_II). You have to choose the fbacps2 core and the rom have to come from a fba set of roms not mame. The same with cps1 games. Everything works fine . There's a space in the link. I can't post links.

- Ок, but from which core i need to took? From original retroarch or frome else or from this archive that includes only a,b,c,d..... cores and their alts???

Allright, I've try took roms from there -snip- and load fbalpha2012_cps2_libretro_wii.dol core - exit title screen

I think maybe i do something wrong? - i've just copy fbalpha2012_cps2_libretro_wii.dol from original retroarch 1.8.5 to this MAME2003-WII-0.4 app\retroarch-wii , and runing it by those boot.dol. Maybe it core not compatible with MAME2003-WII-0.4 or something else... Or maybe need rom from only correct romset v.0.2.97.28 (that show in bottom of screen when load it core), when I've find just from 0.2.97.40 by my link

And how aktivate dipswithes menu \ test menu\service( TAB in standart PC-mame version) in your old cps cores?( that you attached) - Rz button on classic game controller that make appear it in other cores dont work there and i cant find it in input settigs


More i want to ask - batman forever - Could i ran it in some core at all?

In this archive, DATAS folder, 3 xls x compatibility files(FBA Wii, Mame2000 Wii and Mame2003 Pi). It helps to know what's working.

You can also search http://www.progettoemma.net/. It says batman forever is a ST-V game. Not supported in mame2003+ wii at all.
I'm not good in italian language, but if you saiD "None", so ok, thanks, understood... I was just motivated by "MAME 2003 Plus Compatibility list" from first post of this thread, and there nothing about batmanFR in those xls files....

You can play it with Wiisxr its OK for a arcade port.
- you mean try ps1 version? It's looks graphically more poor, and sprites got lower resolutions... ( I run it on my ps3 and it's look awful on modern lcd-tv)

Guys, tell me better that how can entered in setups\dipswitches menu to change difficulty in cps2 core? maybe there's a combination of buttons or needed fix some .ini or .cfg files of core to have able to change it?
