TX announces testing phase for SX CORE and SX LITE mods

300 pre-production units are going out to testers that apply to Team-Xecuter with their modding skills!

Thanks for all the applications, as of today all pre-production samples have been assigned to qualified testers & reviewers!

SXLOGOS.png

People have been waiting for a while for news from Team-Xecuter, and today they hit us with double-whammy, announcing the name of their upcoming modchips, and at the same time putting out an request for 300 solid modders with skills to help fine-tine their pre-production units that will be going to those that have already applied.
We are looking for 200 to 300 testers who are willing to commit time to really test in depth the product and report back to us eventual bugs, issues, or way to improve it before mass production starts.

Please contact us if you have the skills and time for it. Obviously, you need to know how to open an console and make basic solder points – nothing really challenging here as far a the installation itself. But a bit more to bring us that feedback and find the hidden bugs the common mortal wouldn't.

Please no need to write if:
  • You don't have time to really test this in depth.
  • You don't have the required skills.
  • If you were in touch with us before and we know you just want free stuff, we know who you are, we manufacturers all know each other, don't bother trying.
  • You can't fix your console if there is a little issue. Again, experienced users. We are not going to send you a new console if you drop your soldering iron on the wrong place of your console.
We already have quite a few names from the past, we will confirm when you email us. But as this product is pretty advanced, we would welcome a little more help. All *NEW* application must come with references from known trusted scene members. If you don't, sorry, we will just ignore your request.

Again this is for ALL Switch. Regular unpatched Switch, Patched, Mariko and Switch Lite. But obviously we are not interested in people with regular unpatched Switch (grab a SX Pro FFS!)
Thanks for all the applications, as of today all pre-production samples have been assigned to qualified testers & reviewers!

So it seems, during the Chinese New Year break, TX was not sleeping, they been working hard, and both the SX CORE and SX LITE is getting ready for the mass public, but in the meantime get to work and apply to TX today showing them your skills and references and you could be one of the lucky first 300 users out there with full bragging rights to show off to the world they have a working modded 'Patched' or 'Mariko' or 'Lite' Switch Console! -- Don't forgot to also check out their recently launched Official TX Support Chat Server :)

from the only leaked images they gave us
you can see it directly attaches to emmc
so its going a bypass, thats the problem is the switch lites emmc is soldered to the motherboard

thats why the normal switch version is said to be solderless and the lite isnt

That still doesn't mean anything, it could be an exploit in the bootloader, it could be an exploit in the bootchain, it could be a kernel exploit etc., the later would mean it's updateable by software - so my point is still valid, as long ls we don't know what they exploit, I wouldn't touch the Switch's FW.

"thats the problem is the switch lites emmc is soldered to the motherboard"

oh fuck i didn't realize this and i already bought a switch lite
i hope i can find someone in the Boston area that can install this for me

i wonder if they will have a chip clip option like the E3 flasher had for the EMMC
i know they are said to be unreliable though

i wonder how they will accomplish the connection in the switch lite and just how complicated it will be to install
i wonder if it requires reflow work and removing the EMMC and BGA
and reattaching it to the mod chip
they said lite version will come later i wonder just how much later we are taking here

i am really getting nervous about production
i want to see some pics from beta testers or see some confirmation that the test units are going out
i feel like the virus is going to delay things indefinitely

If difficulty is on-par with XenoGC or in that ballpark, I'm good. If we're talking UltraHDMI on N64 level, fuck it.

What difference would an open source implementation make? i mean you will still be paying someone for the hardware right ? so why not pay the original creators so that it can go towards R&D into new products or consoles? Aren't the cloners at the end the ones getting away with daylight robbery ?

If Nintendo would enable to play my digital purchases on any switch and my family as well, this wouldn't be necessary. But we have 4 switches at home and I'm not going to buy every game two times. Companies should stop being so freaking greedy and selfish. Look at Microsoft, it's super easy to copy games for those consoles. But no one does it, because of game pass and your family can use your purchased games.

"Globally, about 3.4% of reported #COVID19 cases have died. By comparison, seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1% of those infected"-
Sorry to go OT again but I can't let that stand as it is - yes, if you look at the absolute figures more than 3% of those infected died so far, but of those 3800 died at the moment, 3000 were in Hubei where it first broke out and no one knew what it was and how to deal with it. Add to that not enough hospital beds and generally not being prepared for it and you know why most of the deaths happened in Hubei.
In South Korea for example there are 7400 cases and 50 died. That's 0.7%. In Germany 1000 cases, no one died yet.
If you go to the global map here and look at the bottom right corner you see a graph, orange is for total infections and green for recoveries and you can clearly see that new infections become less and less while recoveries strongly climb.

I presume even with this ‘modchip’, playing “copied” games will still result in a ban?

Or are we going back to the DS glory days?

Most likely. Unless they made some huge advancement in SX OS 3 over 2. Your best bet is to set up emunand and buy the few games you want to play online. From what I understand it's pretty safe as long as you treat the clean partition as a legit switch.

These will be worlds 1st possible way of getting into unhackable switch

And worlds 1st for switch lite

Basically we will be able to do on those models what we can do now on older models

It allows for running home brew and backups. Right now only the old Nintendo switches work with RCM. The exploit was patched on the new switches, all made past a certain month in 2018. Lites are the same way. With the modhcip it allows the exact same thing(hopefully) to continue on the new switches.
