Heres some info on my crappy computer that I'm going to upgrade. Can you guys suggest what parts I would need to buy to have a really fast computer that would play Crysis and Call of Duty 4 on high settings with no lag.

Without getting a new mobo, that's going to be hard. Are you willing to go that far? A brand new PC and scrapping parts from the old is your best bet

8800GT
2GB DDR2 800
Compatible mobo
Any good $130 PSU
HDD/ODD from old PC
$40 sound card
Same display, speakers, keyboard, mouse as old

Should cost.....about $600-$700

You have a 3ghz P4, an 8800 Ultra might not be able to play CoD4 on high with that

Any tips on cooling? Im a big noob with computer hardware so I dont know to much about cooling. Do you think ill need a new case?


I have a Dimension E510 dell computer which sucks

For CPU cooling, just get a thermaltake BigTyphoon. For cooling for your case, just get more 12mm fans. Water cooling is too expensive.
