pokemon stadium games worked perfectly fine

If you were launching both Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 from Loadiine, can you explain how?

You can still use Loadiine if you are on CFW with HaxChi or CBHC. Loadiine isn't an exploit, it's a backup loader that loads backups (in Loadiine format) from an SD card. It doesn't support natively launching an N64 ROM backup, so you must have been loading a Wii U N64 VC title or something else with an N64 ROM injected.

Yeah that's the thing. I used to use the browser in combination with loadiine many years ago. But I needed the SD card for something else. Didn't use the wiiu anyway. It's only now because of the possibilty to easily run GC and wii games from the same HDD that I came back to the wiiu. But I have no idea how I set it originally up.

The only thing I remember is launching something with my own hosted local website. And then it loaded loadiine I guess. It was like this circular interface. With squarelike icons. And between those icons I had the N64 games. Only had like the 2 pokémon stadium games and snowboard kids. I remember the stadium games running perfectly fine with only small graphical issues in the interface (really small). But it was at fullspeed and all. Not sure about snowboard kids though. That one was always hard to emulate on something else than a PC.

So yeah I have actually no idea how I created these N64 bootable loadiine games. That's why I asked here what the most advised method is now. Because I was even shocked we could now just install wiiu games to the nand/eHDD. So I used that instead of loadiine. Not sure loadiine is still advised to use for anything.

I thought I had a backup of my old sd content. If I only could find that back again to find my setup and the games itself. But yeah will try to look for it again this evening.

this is what I could find about info, seems like injects are the way to go now. No idea how I got it to work with loadiine back in the days.:
  • Option 1: WiiU N64 VC with injects. This has slightly higher compatibility than the Wii N64 VC it seems, but beware complaints about washed-out colours. See e.g. this comparison.

  • Option 2: vWii N64 VC with injects. Compatibility list Maybe slightly more hassle, but promises superior results for games that work.

  • Option 3: Not64 running in vWii with vWii 'overclock'. Compatibility list.

Still looking for the solution here, would anyone know how to delete a user aw/NNID and unknown password without deleting their purchased content?
Make sure cbhc is not installed before you remove the account. Or it will definitely brick the console. But when you unlink the account, his/her bought content doesn't stay on the console.

HI guys.. no one responded to my thread so i figured i'd post here. All i want to know is if it's normal to experience a 10+ second wait time in USB Loader GX before the list of games appear. (the place where the games are listed appears, but the titles don't appear for like 10 seconds) I have 130 gamecube games on it. Here's my post:

________________
Wondering how long I should be waiting for USB Loader to populate my game list of about 125 Gamecube iso/gcm files? (and a couple emulators)
It currently takes over 10 seconds each time I boot or come back from playing something. It previously was loading quickly when i only had 2 or 3 games on there.

Here's some relevant info:

Guide i used to hack Wii U and vwii:

HDD: Segate portable USB3
SD card: 64 GB EVO samsung 100MB/s
HDD formatted to FAT32 with Disk Utility on Mac OS X, i believe my cluster size is 512 kb as i don't know how to change it.
I haven't changed any major settings in USB Loader like where things are saved/loaded etc.

all my games were manually copied over by me... created the parent folder then changed the name to game.iso, etc. I tried adding the [GAMEID] to about half of my games' parent folders to see if it would make a difference, but it has not appeared to.

Thank you!

Yes, very normal. As I ripped more of my games to an attached hard drive or to an SD, the load times would increase for USB Loader GX to complete its scan after starting. I can tell you that I tried several different configurations and have witnessed others USB Loader GX configs in person and it never goes beyond 30-60 seconds even in extreme cases. It's a justified delay, since the loader has to (briefly) make sure that everything is still there that is supposed to be there and it has to load a chunk of the metadata for the titles and stuff you initially see all at once.

You'll still see roughly the same load time with any configuration, but having everything on a proper external drive is best. I tried various combinations to mix config files or metadata on the SD Card and all the titles on the hard drive and it doesn't help at all. Keeping everything (for vWii) on one external hard drive is the quickest. SD interface on the WiiU is extremely slow, it doesn't matter how fast of a card you throw at it.

Single partition, FAT32, 32kB Cluster Size, USB 2.0 or greater, up to 4TB works fine. 4kB sectors are best.
USB flash drive (thumb drive, key, whatever you prefer to call it) are much less ideal.
SD cards are least ideal.

For Seagate, you use Disc Wizard to set the drive to 4kB sectors.
For Western Digital you use WD Quick Formatter to set it to 4kB sectors.

If you can't find Disc Wizard (or an equivalent tool made by Seagate) for MacOS, run a Windows VM in Virtualbox, Parallels, Bootcamp, VMWare Player, etc.

Sorry about the pictures missing. Host must have deleted them and I can't find the originals.

Thanks so much for the info element6

wow our user names are very similar lol

I’ll eventually try to switch my cluster size. But I’m assuming I’ll have to reformat in that case.

Okay this is bizarre, but I made no changes and now it only takes 2-4 seconds. I didn’t play for about 5 days, I got a new TV, I booted up Wii U and now it’s super fast. *shrug*

I'm on 5.5.4E, can I follow the instructions in the Community noob guide to Wii U hacking thread without things going pear-shaped? Or will I need to downgrade to 5.5.3? Is there even a downgrade possible?

I started a thread asking this question a few days ago but didn't get an answer so thought I'd try posting the question here instead! :D

Many thanks in advance for any help!

Only a nand backup can "downgrade" your console. And a backup can only be used with a hardmod.

Follow this guide carefully and completely and you're good to go.

Thanks for your help! Looks like I'm going to have to wait before I start messing around with this because it looks like I've bought a fake or faulty MicroSD card. :(

So I jsut turned on my wii after like a month and suddenly it's all messed up 0_o

Nothing was changed.

When I load usb loader GX the first strange thing is that it always defaults to "display as list" while this normally should be "display as grid".

When I launch a wii game it seems to work.

But when I launch a gamecube game I suddenly get this:
98466050_259003355155171_5062789955399450624_n.jpg

When I use Nintendont directly from homebrew menu it still works.

Also this happens when returning from settings in usb loader GX. While all covers do load during the initial boot:

When this happens everything I click seems to open really slow >_<.

Any idea what went wrong? Like I said I changed nothing and suddenly it started acting strange and broken.

What I also tried is resetting usb loader GX to default settings. But no dice...

I suggest you start fresh again. I was having issues as well with three games specifically, and then even sometimes, the wii u would crash while opening usb loader gx. I've fixed all of the problems. one of the issues was that I had to rebuild the NAND of neek2o as I kept getting a black screen freeze even when not loading games (loading neek only). the other game I think was a bad or corrupted sector issue as it would black screen even after replacing the game with a clean rip, so I replaced the hdd with that one as it's my most played game.

Thanks for the advise but I just seem to have found the issue.

Suddenly when trying for the X time it said the .dol was missing to boot gamecube games. And I thought that just can't be right.

The culprit was the mirco SD card reader crapping out it seems. Tried another SD card reader and all is fine again!

It seems that using micro SDs in the Wii U tends to lead to issues. You're far from the first person I've seen to have issues with the Wii U who is using a Micro SD.

Hello, I have a Question, don't know if i should post it here, here goes nothing:

I can customize banners and Icons to be recognized in the Wii U when i boot a game, but i want to know if i can use custom bootsounds? I want to fully customize some injections i have in my Wii U and the bootsound is the only one avoiding me.
