Heyy.
Been reading a lot of stuff about third party docks bricking switches.
I will be using official power plug, but my dock broke.

I have 3 switches and bought a switch just the tablet only... so essentially got only 1 working dock.

Is there a third party dock that's known to be working without any bricking or power problems?

Main problem with non-original docks is that they draw too much power from P13USB Video IC, and blow it out.
Mostly problems with unofficial equipment where at FW: 6 - 7 and now it's a bit safer to use unofficial stuff.
You Must use something that will support same voltage as original charger or i would even use it with original charger:
5V/1.5A and 15V/2.6A - If you will lower than that, chances are really high that you will blow it.

Basically main problem now is under-voltage, also i wouldn't go to high, just follow spec.

With the OG dock being seemingly discontinued, Nintendo themselves are just directly linking to Best Buy's Insignia dock now.

Its been widely used for years with no bricking reports. So its probably the safest 3rd-party option, if you want something that props your Switch vertical.

Any with a hub structure?
I mean these OEM hubs all over amazon. Needed one where switch stays secure inside for long periods of use.

I will be using original switch charger.

Does controllers work properly when plugged into the hub? Thanks

I've got a teensy emulating a hori fightstick plugged into the usb port hatching eggs in pokemon. I left it running overnight a couple of days in a row without a hitch on my lite. Again using the original power supply. I gave my original dock to a friend of mine because I never use it.

Probably because the fact its faulty hardware ti the point on certain displays it gets stuck on a constant charging discharging state.

Meaning its barely stable who knows what it's actually spewing out even though it can connect fine

I use the mainboard from my original Switch dock inside one of these shells: HERE
That way I don't have any compatibility issues whatsoever. We have converted all 3 of our Switch docks over to this style, and have no regrets. The Switch screen doesn't get scratched, the Switch can breathe better, and it's much easier to travel with due to it's small size.
