why not, as long as TX can make their money from the hardware, maybe throw in the TXOS licence with the hardware, but if end users want to use a different CFW it would make sense for TX to not lock it down, so if/when TX stops updating their CFW people using this exploit wouldn't be left high n' dry on an old FW like gateway users

The more cfw the modchip can launch, the more potential customers they have. It it was locked down only sx os users would buy the modchip
