It’s not just a new year, but a new month as well, meaning it’s time to collect the new games for subscription services. For PlayStation Plus users, they’ll get two new PS4 games in January.

The first of which is Goat Simulator, which released to big laughs in 2014, letting gamers live out their dream of playing as a goat, running around and messing with objects and bouncing on trampolines, as goats tend to do.

The second PS+ game for January is multiple games in one, in the form of the Nathan Drake Collection, which bundles remastered versions of the first three Uncharted games.

You’ll be able to grab these games starting on January 7th, until February 3rd. Until then, make sure to get December’s games while you still can!

Trophies the best thing to happen in video games since they began and yes uncharted was my 2nd game trophy hunting hearing tht trophy noise for first time was a great feeling - nintendo really need to do something re achievements the setup is ther what with stars as trophies they really are at the moment run by a bunch of twats

I still maintain trophments are a game for cunts and very much a negative, possibly on par with what we are seeing with microtransactions. At very best they are a horrifically lazy form of game design and they come with downsides I don't like seeing.

If a dev wants to include some challenges within a game to maybe encourage other play styles or amusing things, or for some easter eggs, then so much the better but were I in charge I would sooner lose system wide trophments than microtransactions.

The effects trophments have had on cheats, on said bonus challenges, on certain types of level design...

That's actually pretty dope, I've been meaning to replay 1-3 and now I have the perfect excuse.

i got the collection two years ago with my ps4. Unfortunately the first two games have crash issues in the collection they have not fixed. The games crash during cut scenes. Only way around it is to skip the cut scenes. Otherwise you can’t progress, since the games auto save doesn’t happen til after the cut scenes. Naughty Dog and Sony couldn’t care less about the issue. They made their money the first time off the games.

Due to the crash issue I stopped playing the collection. It’s frustrating to me, because i only had the chance to play the 3rd game on the ps3. Without the first 2 games, i don’t get to experience the whole story. It’s the reason i have not purchased Uncharted 4. i wanted to catch up on everything first.

I somewhat agree... although I can also see the positives of well implemented trophys/cheevs; when they encourage exploration and improvement.

I feel like the biggest negative (to consumers) is the feeling of being tied to a system because of a gamer score (which is one of the main reasons the manufacturers implemented it). I was quite happy to switch back from Microsoft to Sony this gen, and didn't give a toss about my gamer score. Meanwhile lots of friends stuck with the Xbox, just because of their gamer score... and most of them had lower numbers than me.

This might be a controversial opinion, especially on this site, but I agree with you wholeheartedly.
I still maintain trophments are a game for cunts and very much a negative . . .
Me and my many platinum trophies still love you bby

( ˘ ³˘)♥.

Without really wanting to get into the details of why this is the case, I'll say that if it wasn't for trophies I would play far less games and get a lot less benefit out of the ones that I do play.

I also agree with this.

Liar. it is a known big issue with the collection. Was talked about here when the collection first came out. It was never fixed.
Uh. Doesn't mean he encountered issues. I also never encountered an issue with the collection. Doesn't mean they're not there. Doesn't mean he's a liar.

Cunts? No. Misguided and lacking in taste. Most certainly.

Also no I don't, mainly as I have no friends.

Please notice me senpai. I'll be your friend with misguided and lacking tastes. If our friendship was a game I would get the platinum. In fact, I would even crossbuy it for both PS4 and Vita and buy it in 4 different regions just so I can get 8 platinums from it.

is there really anybody out there who still plays or wants to play goat simulator ?
The second order ironic players.

It was made as something of an ironic joke, originally played as such and now that is played out it is being played doubly ironically.
