It will brick if you enable autoRCM.Hi All, I’m helping out a friend. He’s got a switch with serial number with Warning. If I try booting into RCM mode and inject Hekate. Will it brick the switch if it’s patched?
Thanks.

It will brick if you enable autoRCM.
Patched switches don't brick when you try to inject a payload. Nothing will happen when you inject the payload. It's a stock Switch. I can't enable autoRCM if I can't boot into Hekate? If i can boot into Hekate means I can always enable/disable autoRCM?

No.Thanks for the reassurance. I remember reading somewhere the older payloads will brick the switch.
When you say you deleted the game, did you remove the game you installed or the .NSP file on your SD card? Because if you do not remove both, then there will be space left on your SDcard.hey, i have an issue with sx os and installing xci files. so i install super smash bro xci and update nsp. after install i tried to launch the game and got the error 'corrupt data detected'. so i deleted the game and now there is 2gb extra space taken on my sd card even though i have deleted the game. And yes i have ran horizon done a reboot, but still no fix. can anyone help? i think its the update nsp which is still on my sd card not sure though.

Firmware versions 4.0 and 9.0 have updates for the game cartridge slot. These updates prevent it from being used on lower firmware versions. You can force these patches my making an empty file named "nogc" in the /ReiNX folder. However this will only affect retail game cartridges.I installed ChoiDujourNX on my switch, allowing me to upgrade to 8.1 in order to be able to enjoy all the current titles available.
I get the message regarding "nogc patches". What does that mean, and how can I force those patches on my console?
I booted the console and I got a message: The game card could not be read.
Since I am using Reinx, I made a file named nogc on the reinx folder as instructed. Is that the reason that my games do not work?
I recommend using Aluminum Foil with Tinfoil.Tinfoil gives me an error when trying to install an NSP file via USB.

The latest one is fine. When downloading and installing .nsp files, do I have to install all of the updates, or just the most recent one?
Thanks
Check Data Management under System Settings to make sure the update is still not installed to your system. Also make sure the .NSP file is not on your SD card physically.I just deleted the xci game file installed on home menu. How can I delete the nsp update as well?
NoWould anyone recommend hbg to install nsp files?
