somebody help me plz. i was on atmosphere 0.9.3 or may be lower, and then i mistook press update system on switch. it then gave some fatal error but i upgraded into atm 0.9.4 and it's working again. then all my datas and games i installed on switch was corrupted. i deleted all old datas and try to install nsp but goldleaf doesn't let me be, it says invalid nca; i then try n1dus but it says error processing files. and i also try different nsp but still the same. did i miss something because this is the first time i upgrade atm, doing hex things on switch, it's a 2nd system and before i mistook update nintendo system, i was playing fine. also all i did to upgrade was like copy 3 folders (switch, sept, atmosphere) and place it on sd card to replace the older datas

I installed ChoiDujourNX on my switch, allowing me to upgrade to 8.1 in order to be able to enjoy all the current titles available.

I get the message regarding "nogc patches". What does that mean, and how can I force those patches on my console?

I booted the console and I got a message: The game card could not be read.

Since I am using Reinx, I made a file named nogc on the reinx folder as instructed. Is that the reason that my games do not work?

FW 9.0.0
Atmosphere 0.9.4
NS_Usbloader.jar 0.8
fluffy.exe 2.9.2
tinfoil 0.2.1

So i can't get neither program to detect my switch when using the fluffy recommended tinfoil nro. fluffy appears to crash on startup (well not really crash but needs to be shutdown via task manager as it cripples my pc) Here is the log from NSUL
[ INFO ] Start chain
[ PASS ] libusb initialization
[ PASS ] Get device list
[ FAIL ] NS in connected USB devices not found
[ INFO ] Requested context close
[ INFO ] End chain

I don't seem to have issues with goldtree/leaf detecting the switch and tegra has no issues dumping payload. I havent installed any other windows drivers outside of the ones recommended for goldleaf from zadig and I havent yet tried getting it to work with aluminium foil (mostly because I have no interest in using it) I have tried running the terminal python scripts from the fluffy gbatemp thread but because it doesn't say the location to run those scripts, windows doesnt recognise the commands.

When you say you deleted the game, did you remove the game you installed or the .NSP file on your SD card? Because if you do not remove both, then there will be space left on your SDcard.

Does any USB-C charger work fine with the official dock?
Yes

Firmware versions 4.0 and 9.0 have updates for the game cartridge slot. These updates prevent it from being used on lower firmware versions. You can force these patches my making an empty file named "nogc" in the /ReiNX folder. However this will only affect retail game cartridges.

Tinfoil gives me an error when trying to install an NSP file via USB.

ReadCNMT:24 Failed to find cnmt entry!
I recommend using Aluminum Foil with Tinfoil.

Is it possible to change my user icon to a custom picture? (fw 9.0/latest atmo etc)

i try a few weird ways and now i am able to install nsp. but due to re-format my sd card into fat32, i have troubles with size over 4gb( my recent format was exfat). i'm trying to use tinfoil to install nsp through nut network https://github.com/blawar/nut
i already install python 3.6.6 on my pc but i don't understand this part (make sure python opens up a Python 3 shell); and where is nut.conf to configure?
also, i don't see location in Tinfoil to add new like the guide said, my tinfoil is the lastest 4.10
ps:nevermind, i've done it already by using goldleaf and quark

I just deleted the xci game file installed on home menu. How can I delete the nsp update as well?

When downloading and installing .nsp files, do I have to install all of the updates, or just the most recent one?

Thanks
The latest one is fine.

I just deleted the xci game file installed on home menu. How can I delete the nsp update as well?
Check Data Management under System Settings to make sure the update is still not installed to your system. Also make sure the .NSP file is not on your SD card physically.

Would anyone recommend hbg to install nsp files?

I'm on 8.1 with Reinx (shows 0.0 on system version)
No

An error occured:
Onselect:91: Incorrect TUL header magic!
Try Fluffy

With the latest goldleaf i get error "2356-0009" when trying to install a nsp (over usb and from sd card). Does anyone know what it means? (Fw 9.0/atmo/kosmos with patches)
The latest Goldleaf is version 0.7.3 so make sure you are using that one.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
