Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition headed to PC and Nintendo Switch

Bandai Namco is bringing two games in one to new platforms, as Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch and PC this fall. This game combines two previously released Digimon titles--the once-PlayStation-exclusive Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, and its sequel, Hacker's Memory, released in 2015 and 2017 respectively. Bandai Namco also announced that their development team is working on a new entry in the Digimon Story series, along with the upcoming Digimon Survive game, of which the latter has been delayed until 2020. Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition will launch on October 18th.

Well for the fighting system alone you probably wouldn't like it much ... but the Story is nice and evolving your Monsters into all sorts of Digimon is nice especially as you can even use your starter easily till endgame as you can devolve and evolve over and over again

Digimon world looks bland though, is it all just blue grounds?

Well the Digital part is mostly rather blunt but there are different kind of areas plus the outside world which is well made.
If you have ever been in Tokyo you will easily be able to remember several of the places which are in the game ^^

Well, that was bound to happen...but already have both on my vita so I don't see the point in getting it a second time, other than being able to play it at any point in time moving forward and not carry around my vita any more.

I guess that might work only if I choose to have a gaming laptop/tablet that is reasonably portable/light and doesn't need to be upgraded for a while.

if anyone is doubting, just buy it. I played both games on ps4 and vita (cross-save is great).
the story is excellent and the characters are all lovable in both games.
digimons are not tied to a single evolutionary path and you can de-evolve them to choose a different evolution (well, de-evolving is actually required to raise the maximum level of your digimons). if you are asking yourself "then it will be more grindy than pokemon" you are wrong since you have equippable items and skills that multiply the amount of experience you earn for all your party.
