You're spreading incorrect information that 90dns is reliable and wont get you banned :) Unless you think the 7.0 updates just magically teleported to those user's switches and banned them likely.
Please stop acting like a child. We all know the risks of Incognito and how ridiculously easy it is to get banned using the software. Sticking to 90DNS has been sufficient for most people.

Wtf is your deal? You're more toxic than TX at this point.
He's been bragging in sigpatch threads that tinfoil (his tinfoil) is the only one that currently works on 7.0.0/7.0.1! He even calls it the "real tinfoil". He's a good dev but damn he acts like a child/shoves his software in people's faces.

All dev's get paid in something, I happen to be paid in memes. dont ruin my payment.

For the record, I only did that, because dev's were bending over backwards to not say publicly that my tinfoil worked. Trying to suppress the information. So I put the information out there in the most obnoxious way possible.

Well gee. I wonder why?

Can't be because you put a bad taste in their mouth after you nicked the tinfoil name. That would be ridiculous!

Also you have a legitimately terrible sense of humour if you think that's funny.

hahaha!!!! that sums up the ENTIRE anti SXOS fanboi club, imo. They say they keep posting for the lolz, but the only one laughing is themselves (while crying on the inside, if stereotypes hold true)

Staying on topic regarding NETWORKING (which very few people appear to be doing) - surely the best solution is to have the Switch connect to an isolated LAN subnet which has routing tables in place so it can never access the wider WAN? That way you can wifi files to your Switch and it will never be able to connect to the WWW. Or how ''leaky'' is the Switch wifi if there are other (unsecured) WAPs nearby?

You don't need to check with your ISP. Tested this and it works fine.
have you read the thread? why are so many people reporting the update prompt? i don't wanna get update notifications because 90dns doesn't work with my specific ISP

I don't like calling them unless I have to. this doesn't seem "perfectly reliable" if i have to worry about my ISP and i have to worry about Ninty adding IPs in the future, instead of exclusively hostnames... why wouldn't they do that? it seems completely reasonable that they might. i think i'll just turn on airplane mode rather than trust this

If you want to be 100% safe. I suggest making a pihole server and making a list of all Nintendo telemetry and putting it on the blocklist.

that would be 100% safe against known telemetry, again it wouldn't address them sneaking in an IP or three

again.. because the lack of networking knowledge in here is palpable with stock replies of ''use pihole''

So I set 163.172.141.219" and secondary DNS to "45.248.48.62. I can establish the connection to my WiFi with these settings but performing the connection test in the internet options results in a "unable to connect". Is that intended?

Edit: is there a way to prevent my Switch to connect to the internet entirely, but allow WiFi connection to my router and therefor my connected PC. I just want to use it for installing my NSPs.

If wiping the prodinfo does that then yes. But the software is banbait for Nintendo. If you ever delete or tamper with it you're gonna get banned.

You're supposed to restore your nand anyway if you want to go online, if you do "dirty things" on your switch.

I use proxy as whitelist to filter everything except the connection test server (or else it wouldn't even allow LAN).
once connected, you can even shutdown the proxy to block all WWW network, and you can even connect online with homebrew (appstore, etc.) because homebrew are bypassing the proxy settings.
I don't know if any legit/retail title also bypass the proxy setting, I didn't sniff the packet to verify. (netflix bypassed it on Wii).
it might not be the safest solution either, but using multiple methods adds layers of filters (disable auto connect+DNS+proxy+router filter, etc.)

I didn't test to see if I'm banned or not, so can't tell how good it is.
