First, I apologize for even needing to make this thread. I'm sure the information is out there, and I've check a TON of other threads, and must just be missing *something*.

I've successfully softmodded my Wii U with Haxchi.
I have a Wii U formatted HDD
I have a large SD which keeps all the sofmod files. (128GB SD card, I believe)
I've downloaded WUP Installer GX2

...I for the life of me, cannot figure out how to either download Wii U games to install onto the HDD, or rip my own game discs to the HDD so that I can eventually catalog my collection and play from the HDD.

At one point, one of the programs seemed to rip my game discs to the HDD (or SD?) right from the Wii U, but then WUP Installer GX2 never saw/never found anything.
I took some game files from my PC, threw them on my SD card, and again never got WUP Installer GX2 to see anything. When launched, it says "no installable content found".

My hangup? I think I'm ripping my discs incorrectly. Disc2App still works? If I open it on the Wii U, with the disc in, it should rip the game to my SD card? And then I have to use something like WUD2App?

Again, I'm sorry. I'm sure this is something simple, and I'm sure the information I'm looking for is likely in plain sight, but I must just be missing a step.

WUD2App is outdated Disc2App skips the steps of involving the WUD and makes an image go from Disc 2 App as in the name.

.app files are what you want to see (in a folder) to install them via Wup Installer GX.

I'm also having trouble with WUP Installer GX2 v1.3.

I have my Wii U set up with HAXCHI.
I initiate HAXCHI by holding "B" to load CFW.
I boot up the Homebrew Launcher via the HAXCHI "channel."
Homebrew Launcher recognizes WUP Installer GX2 v1.3 and the app launches fine.
Then I immediately get an error within WUP Installer GX2: "No installable data found"

My 64GB mixroSDXC card is formatted to FAT32.
The Wii U reads the card as both the Homebrew Launcher and WUP Installer GX2 work.
The game I'm trying to install is NES Remix 2 for testing purposes.
It's placed at SD:/install/NES Remix 2 [0005000010162500].
The files are a mixture of .app and .h3 with title.cert and title.tmd as downloaded with NEW-NUSGrabberGUI.

I'm not certain what I'm doing wrong. I've specifically followed the "Community NOOB Guide to Wii U Hacking." I've done everything accordingly and still no luck. I don't know if I'm missing necessary files, have formatted something wrong, or somehow wound up with a bad dump from the CDN. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The game is missing a file because there should be title.tmd, title.cert and title.tik so you're missing the ticket file. You won't be able to install that game as it is. There's a way to get tickets (or at least used to be) but someone else will have to tell you how I never did that myself.

Another option is google Wii U USB Helper workaround reddit and follow the instructions to get Wii U USB Helper going, it will have the complete game that you can download as well as all other Wii U games.

I've been reading the "Wii U USB Loading - Install Wii U Games to USB or Internal Memory" and it mentions that for installation to work I need a game's "title.tik." The CDN download of NES Remix 2 via NEW-NUSGrabberGUI didn't come with a title.tik. Apparently that has to be acquired separately.

The guide also mentions using "tik2sd" to dump tickets from the console, which I've used, but it provided 18 different .tik files, none of them "title.tik." I believe the guide is written with the assumption that the user has either a retail disk or legitimate eShop download of the game to extract the title.tik from and I have neither. I'm not certain how to go about acquiring a game's title.tik otherwise.

Since i don't know how to get tickets either my only advice is google "Wii U USB Helper reddit workaround" follow the instructions to get Wii U USB Helper installed on your computer, and you can then download any Wii U game from there and they will be ready to install without any further hassle, tickets and everything already included.

I googled "Wii U Usb helper reddit workaround" as you suggested, clicked the first Reddit link: "[WORKAROUND] DOWNLOAD AND RUN WII U USB HELPER AFTER ITS DISCONTINUATION", downloaded the USBHelperLauncher v1.0 .exe, open it, go to select the Wii U USB Helper version and no matter which version I pick I get the error:

Could not establish connection.
Please check your internet connection and try again.
Reason: SendRequest Error.

The USBHelperLauncher.exe is cleared through Windows Firewall and my internet is working fine. I don't know what's causing the error.

I have solved the problem. I followed the instructions provided in the YouTube video "How to Download Games, Updates & DLC for Cemu Emulator." I downloaded the files linked in the video's description: USB Helper, Helper Launcher, and MakeHostJSON.exe. I extracted the USB Helper and Helper Launcher to the same folder, placed MakeHostJSON.exe therein, ran it, followed the instructions, closed it, and USBHelperLauncher.exe ran fine.

USBHelper requires a URL which hosts Wii U game title.tik files. This is considered copywritten material and can't be distributed here but the more recent YouTube video "Easy installer for Wii U USB Helper showcase | Download Wii U Games" provides a valid link to such a URL in the description.

The .zip archives provided in the first video description are slightly out of date but otherwise work fine.

Thankfully I don't seem to have to redownload everything I already did through NUSGrabber. I can simply find the games on USBHelper, initiate the download, and it'll instantly acquire the necessary title.tik files allowing me to then cancel the download and save time and harddrive space.

Thank you both, JustinCredible and BaamAlex for your timely responses and assistance.
