I patched a rom of F-Zero with F-Zero Deluxe and injected into into my Wii U with Wup Installer GX2. It ran fine for a couple of minutes but then my system randomly crashed along with the error that my external storage device couldn't be read. I powered off the console and reseated all of my cable connections but now the Wii U won't recognize my SSD.

The SSD is relatively new and I've always used a Y cable with it so I don't think that it's dead. The light on my enclosure still turns on and Windows recognizes it.

Is there a way that I can recover my drive and all of my data, or do I have to just wipe it and reformat it?

Edit: 5 minutes after I posted this my drive is back to working perfectly after changing nothing. I'll update if I run into issues again.

I am having this issue as well, I’ve tried unplugging it and everything… it still won’t show up for me… how do wipe the drive and reformat it on the PC?
