The SNES emulator may not work well with some games, but explain how the Sega Genesis/MD emulator is bad?

Just the fact that it can't play roms in full screen but in stretched mode where you have to hit L + R buttons to scroll the screen. Also, I get a lot of glitched sprites and sound issues in Ghouls 'N Ghosts. I'll agree that it's not the worst emulator, but those reasons alone gave me a very bad first impression of the emulator.

Also, just to report a bug (or a new feature of the program) with the DSi theme in 7.4.1, if I select any empty box, it shuts off my DSiXL. Happens everytime for me.

I'm assuming he's going to say something about the 3MB limit
I wasn't even aware of that issue as I've only tried a couple of games before deciding it wasn't for me, but that's one more reason, I guess.

I'm not getting any shutdown.
By empty box, do you mean a box without an icon, or an actual empty box?

Okay, so I am having an issue loading Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. I have tried The USA version using DS-Scene Rom Tool AP patcher, it lets me press start and start a game, but when I select a difficulty, it stays on a black screen. I also manually hex edited the nds file according to other tutorials which only leaves a white screen. Any help on this one, I'm officially stumped. I tried 3 different sources for the rom.

You need an NTR DS game card inserted.

Ah, I see. I've been running the garbage blue gateway card up until i saw this thread. Hate to ask, but is there a list available? I also have an EDGE flashcard somewhere, but I doubt its compatible.

You should really look for the DS version of Chrono Trigger. It is the exact same game but with anime videos and extra content. It plays perfectly through Twilightmenu++.

Also, both included SNES and Sega emulators are horrible, but I guess better than nothing.

This is normal and intended. See, nds-bootstrap requires the .smc file to be put in a container called a RAM disk. Though, TWiLightMenu++ builds a RAM disk of its own so that you can use the GUI to launch SNES games.

Not an issue with TWiLightMenu++

So the ram disk then .. the .img is still required. You call it Snes.img and put your roms inside am i right?

No. You can launch .smc and .sfc directly from the GUI. It's just that since nds-bootstrap still requires a RAMDisk in order to boot SNEmulDS, TWiLightMenu++/nds-bootstrap will build the RAM disk for you

But idd like to be able to switch roms once snemulds is launched without exiting it... is that possible?
