Based on past release patterns, I'd say that November 2019 is a likely timeframe for release of the next generation of main-series RPG titles.

That being said, we're seeing a jump in console hardware too so I wouldn't be surprised if it were released later than that.

Who cares? The stand-alone games are easy and boring. Barely entertaining for a 10 year old, and not at all challenging.

A lot of people always bash Pokémon Go, but at least it’s consistently updating, evolving, and adding new content. Children all the way up to retirees still gather for raids and stuff. And it gets people up out of the house. (And I often catch the same people who bash it, out and about playing it).

Nintendo said during a direct in late 2017 they had a Pokemon game in development. there is a good chance they will say something in the next direct about it. I only say this because the last 3 directs and E3 2018 have mostly been focused on smash bros.

If you ask me, Pokemon Let´s Go was produced to get used to the hardware of the switch (and to make money of course). There will be a another Pokemon game for the Switch. That´s for sure.

I hope Gen 8 will be released this November 2019. We need an announcement sooner even if it's only the title of the next series.
