Opinions on Ocarina of Time Unreal Engine

So this was released earlier today.
At first glance, it seems pretty cool, and everyone in the comments of the video thinks it looks amazing.
It certainly does look neat but I feel as if it has several glaring flaws (considering this is in a highly unfinished state, some of these flaws will hopefully be subject to change)
  • The game overall feels pretty janky. Animations are janky, character models are janky (especially the shopkeeper), facial expressions are janky, the way chests are opened looks janky, etc.
  • Characters appear lifeless.
  • Lighting feels wrong.
  • UI is boring.
  • The script is not good.
  • The mini-boss fight is unnecessary padding.
  • The Gohma boss fight felt like it took too long.
  • The village area seemed very empty and too expansive.
  • Camera angles are weird.
  • Rolling animation is too slow.
And there are many more things I could comment on.
As I said, this port is very unfinished so far and I assume and hope that these issues will be fixed.
What are your opinions on this project so far?

It's going to get DMCAed in like 20 minutes so not like it matters anyways
It's not like Sony does not make money from you through selling your information through their terms and service and whatever small print you might find.
They are eating their cake and icing! Sad but True!

Judging from the first 6 minutes:
  • The Kokiri Forest looks fairly well done for the most part. I like how the vegetation interacts with Link in-gameplay. I like the lighting, however, I feel that some shadows move a bit too fast to be natural. Slowing this down a bit might help.
  • Rupees look kinda dull and dead. Maybe adding a dim light source, or have them bob up and down and rotate would make them feel more alive. They're the currency of the game, they need to have more visual importance to the player.
  • A few textures look blurry. This is most noticeable on the Great Deku Tree, or in the area where you get the Kokiri Sword.
  • Most of the NPCs fall into uncanny valley territory, like something out of a amateur SFM animation. This really shows when Saria comes to greet Link.
  • Speaking of which, Link's model isn't too bad. I like how his hair tufts while moving, though it's a bit overdone and should be toned down a little. His face when he gets an item is kinda creepy, though.
  • The music when entering a shop comes off as a bit harsh. Maybe lower the volume on that. Also, the item selection animation feels sort of dead.
  • NPC Text is abridged. While I can see why this might have been done to save time or keep the focus on the gameplay and setpieces, it really kinda adds to the uncanny nature of all the NPCs.
  • Transitions from normal music to battle music need to be handled better. As is, it's a bit too abrupt.
  • Also, the white flash after defeating an enemy is a tad distracting. While I like the idea of having a visual cue when enemies are defeated, it needs to be less intrusive.
It's definitely not bad, especially for a fan-made attempt, but there are a few rough edges and other oddities that take away from the experience. Given more work, though, I can definitely see this becoming a full-fledged HD Ocarina of Time remake, but that's not going to happen because Nintendo is lawsuit happy and I doubt the creators of this were thinking of this being anything more than a tech demo.

It's great, it's a tribute made by fans. Obviously without the billions that a corporation like Nintendo.

We should encourage this sort of thing. Also the way they can avoid takedown is to call it a parody .
