[Release] HiyaCFW - World's FIRST Nintendo DSi CFW!

Here it is, the first DSi CFW!

Video by Alex S (with TWiLight Menu++ (previously known as DSiMenu++ and SRLoader) installed):

Video by @Apache Thunder (When RocketLauncher was planned for a release. With WarioWare Touched (DSiWare version) installed.):

(NOTE: Since hiyaCFW has been released a few days ago (as of posting this), and no official thread has been made, I decided to go and make it, despite not making the actual patches for it. :P )

With this CFW, you can run custom DSiWare, alongside region free and 3DS-exclusive DSiWare (WarioWare Touched), on your SD card, via NAND to SD redirection!
You can also run blocked flashcards (such as R4 Ultra).

FAQs

Q: Can I use a custom splash for hiyaCFW?
A: Yes you can. Place it at "sd:/hiya/" and name them "splashtop.bmp" and "splashbottom.bmp". Make sure they're actually saved as .bmp files, with the size of 256x192, with no color space info, and is 16-bit (A1 R5 G5 B5, or X1 R5 G5 B5). .gif files will also work instead of .bmp files.

Hi. I have dsi xl 1.4.5E. I installed unlaunch 1.8 using dsi.cfw.guide
After that i used hiyacfw helper to generate the files for the sd card. These are the only files I have on the sd card. The sd card is 1gb.
The guide says to go to options in unlaunch and for no button pressed to select hiyacfw. But I can't see hiyacfw.
Also in unlaunch when i have a sd card inserted, the UGOMEMO-v2 appears twice. If i select the second one i get a black screen.
In unlaunch, the second UGOEMEMO-V2 has these properties:
pub size: 007f0000
pry size: 00000000
sdmc: /00000000.app
I don't have any *.app in the root of the sd card.
PS: If I use the launcher, I have no sound in the dsi menu.

Do you have the hiya.dsi file in root?

Problem solved. It was the card. If was formatted in winxp with fat16 and fat32. I formatted it the panasonic tool and files started to show on unlaunch. After that I tried a 2gb sd card formated with fat32 in xp and it worked too. So the problem was with the first card. Anyway, after that the hiyacfw didn't load the sd nand, instead it used the console nand. I had to dawngrade the console from 14.5 to 1.4E and the problem was solved.

Won't need to do that nowadays. Unlaunch and HiyaCFW should support them with no issues.
As for fixing your issue, you'll need to do a hardmod.
¿Could you please give me a link to a tutorial to hardmod my dsi or something similiar?

Use fwTool 1.6 to install your old NAND.
¿That will solve the issue?
¿Could you please give me the link to a tutorial or at least where I can download it?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Use fwTool 1.6 to install your old NAND.
Oh, and it is safe to do that, right?
¿Any risk of damage my Dsi, right?

I downgraded the nand because on 1.4.5E Hiyacfw was starting the console's nand, not the sd nand.
DOBLEloy, use fwtool 1.6, but don't flash the nand dumped with a newer version of fwtool because that nand has a footer and you will brick the console.
And about R4 compatibility. I have an old R4 Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS). It still doesn't work after downgrade, it doesn't work in hiyacfw, but it works in unlaunch.

And 2 offtopic questions about console's nand editing:
1. Is it safe to install in PAL nand some USA dsiware?
2. Is it possible to edit the console's nand to accept the r4 card that i mentioned earlier?

Does the cart work with TWiLight Menu++ (with Slot-1 launch method set to Direct)?
If not, I can make it use Unlaunch's cart booting feature in the next version.

1. Yes. iirc, Unlaunch can run out of region DSiWare.
2. Yes. The DS cart whitelist will need to be downgraded.

However, I don't recommend doing those, as we already have SDNAND, thanks to HiyaCFW. :P

Do you know what happens to the photos that were saved on the system memory after setting up Hiyacfw? They don't show up in the camera app anymore

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Hiyacfw is installed on a "seperate" Nand on your sd card, so maybe when you copyed your nand to install Hiyacfw the pictures wernt there at the time? Again, forgive me if i'm wrong, I only had 2 days to mess with it until I broke my DSi

The pictures were definitely there when I made the nand backup, so I'm guessing if I remove hiyacfw and reinstall that old nand the pictures will probably show up again? I'm waiting for confirmation before I do that though

Did you install Hiyacfw on your sd card or to the system? If its installed to a nand on the sd card you should be able to just remove the sd card to go back to the original nand
