Hi guys and girls, how are you ?, I hope you do well, due to the recent brick in some consoles of the Switch, this time because of the fake Pokemon game, I wonder if there will be any antivirus or application that allows to validate the games and their internal files before being able to install it in my Switch, since, as far as I have read, it could happen to any game, apparently it is a very dangerous virus or command, from my point of view it is an ISIS virus style, since it operates like a time bomb, it is better to prevent than to regret, now I do not want to install anything on my switch without being able to scan it in some way to validate that it is safe to install and clean of any attack that could be done, I would not want my switch to be hijacketed with one of these viruses and put a bomb on it, I know I have to make a copy of the NAND and all of that, I have this very clear in mind, but I think the most important thing would be to have that antivirus or application that allows us to validate the games to this day in formats .nsp and .xci which in turn bring both get the .nca files, as far as I have heard in those files nca is that they are running all this mess that has been armed, I have also heard about the checksum, however, I think that would not be enough with that, because even if we trust somewhere where they publish the games and things like that, nothing guarantees to me that these sites will never reach those infected games, in fact, those responsibles for those sites will need some application or antivirus to begin to validate and verify all the existing games and the new ones that they receive, so that they can maintain their reputation, in short, here is my concern, I have heard enough about this issue that is very alarming, I have just expressed to you some of the parts that most concern me, that is why my decision to open this thread to address this issue, I understand here, we can address it in a broad manner and if there is an application or antivirus please guide me to find it, otherwise, is the proposal open to all developers and hackers of this scena Nintendo Switch, to do one.

Get the md5 checksum of a legit one, compare it to yours. If it doesn't add up it's not the same.
Or get them from a reliable well-known source.

All this, and more importantly, keep a NAND backup. And if you're unsure about a particular NSP (especially for early leaks like this), I'd make a new NAND backup before installing it, just to be safe.

I am not talking about an antivirus in the switch, but in windows to scan the files, I am talking about an app that I can scan in windows to know if the files are good to go before copy to the MicroSD, thanks in advance due.

Impossible. For such a tool to work it would have to decompile the NRO and determine whether what it was doing was "harmful." No such tool exists, and likely never will.

The BEST antivirus you can get is YOU!

By YOU making smart decisions on what and where you click, browse, download, open and install, you can avoid infection.

In the case of the Switch, YOU researching, comparing, asking questions and not rushing to grab something the second it's released will serve you well. This applies to games, apps and all Homebrew.

Many people saw Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu drop and jumped on it and downloaded it with a too trusting attitude. Some people like doing this but have a NAND backup ready for any BS that can happen from taking the risk and even then it's not gauranteed to be safe/recoverable.

Educate yourself, become more aware and continuously research good active sources and you will, most likely, be fine my friend.

You can unpack the nsp and see if the game data is all there, of course if someone takes a legit dump and replaces the executable then it would still look legit unless you looked at the actual code, but it will at least help you spot fake padded nsps (and xcis for that matter)

hactool can verify signatures. You'll need to set up master keys, but once set up, run something like `hactool --verify file.nsp`.

If the signature is invalid, DO NOT INSTALL OR RUN THE FILE. It has been tampered with.

NOTE: The ticket may have an invalid signature due to modifications to make it run on "all" systems. The important thing is whether or not the NCAs embedded in the NSP have been modified.
