i told you i dont have any safety pins only this one paperclip from school

Use the picture as an example, attempt to do the same thing but with the paper clip. Keep in mind, paper clips are a lower gauge (thicker) so be gentle, or you can bend the pins. If its not working, it'll need to be grounded (the sharp point on the safety-pin usually grounds with the chassis). Some people report them holding it, is "ground" enough.

edit: also can make the "U" and use pin #1 as the ground.

edit #2: with all the bricking on units going on, the very second you succeed in getting to RCM, MAKE A FULL NAND BACKUP!

Indeed, I do it manually, a thin safety pin, a steady hand and AutoRCM is all I need.

However most people it's not a bad idea to have a proper jig, and at between $1-5 bucks, nobody has an excuse. How the OP cant get simple things (from past threads) is pretty confusing. So I didn't even bother... lol

I tried the paperclip thing. I Couldn't get it to work. I got tinfoil to work fairly reliably.
I then ordered a jig off ebay... wish I had done that first!

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare

@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
