I brought this up to him several times, he admitted he used your stuff, I am surprised he didn't credit you yet.

Thanks, it's whatever I guess. I was just wondering why he credited tinfoil but not NX-Shell which he clearly used code and textures from.

Hmmmm, people using something without credit or ownership in a scene that also pirates software from Vendors. Food for thought.

I think everyone needs to settle down just a tad. If anything dOpus/n1dus showed what users actually want. Maybe everyone should now take the idea HiD had and roll into their apps. I would have thought that people working off one another's ideas is how the scene progresses faster. Thats certainly how I worked with people when I was doing dev work in the PS3 scene :) Plus sometimes its better not to drop names. The less people outside the scene know the better. People inside know and thats enough. ;)

What exactly did n1dus show me the community wanted?

- XCI installation
- simple file browser navigation
- easy to use all-in-one app

Yeah, it was cobbled together from tinfoil, 4nxci, and nx-shell, but most end-users don’t care about that stuff.

I think only a vocal minority really want xci installation, i am holding out for cfw’s to patch out the nca game cart flag, or public xci mounter. so the ncas don’t have to be butchered. i’m not adding a feature that butchers shit for no reason.

the xci installation fad is mostly driven by people who are too cheap to buy a $25 SX license, which is a shame.

file browser support is not what is driving n1dus’ popularity.

i was already doing the all in one app before n1dus was released, nothing new there :)

The big thing driving it here is xci installation in the gui, which nothing was shown to me, it’s stupid and i wrote hat off a long time ago.

I really like the install and delete option so I don't have to use another app to delete the nsp file or the xci file and so on .as stated having everything under one roof is just simply easier for most people .

And Tinfoil alreally had network install...

"Network install" is a pretty nebulous term. Adubbz and I disagreed on how the network install should function, and we achieved it in a very different manner. There is only one way to achieve "delete after install". I see what you tried to do there, nice try :)

I know I gave you a hard time on the other thread.

Looks like I was wrong and I apologise.

Something very fishy going on with this app.
Appearing then disappearing. Very strange.

I don't know, after all DZ is closed-source, we don't know how many stolen code you have in it (and I don't care anyways), and looks like you went so happy after Tinfoil was relicenced under MIT. But anyways, you are an expert "RE'ing" open-source code. Aren't you? :creep:

I'm the best open source hacker :) My source was posted before it went closed source, you're welcome to dig up a copy and see what code is in there :)

Anyone had any success installing split XCI ?

If so, could you explain how?

Edit: retransfered the folder, seems to be working now..

hi. quick question. what did you use to split the xci? wonder if that is my issue, I used xci-cutter,when try to install - I see the "folder" with xci extension and arch bit set- but it is listed as 0kb and does not install. Any help would be great! thx
