For the max currency codes when I collect more currency the counter resets.
It was because the game can't display number after 9999, since I set items to 5000 now it should be fixed (useless you use the modifier code and set the number to 9999 or more)
The Quick catch code, while it is idea for dealing with regular ghosts, if you have this code active and then instantly catching a Portrait ghost, because you did not get a big pearl out of it for sucking 90% of it's health in one suction, you will only get a bronze rank from portrait ghost. Also BE WARNED... if you set all the currency from the above plugin in to 999... when you reach the end of the area, it far exceeds the max amount of money and the game doesn't really like that causing it to indefinitely hang on the money result screen.
I don't know if you will have the same issue but the Quick catch code has been updated, it should works with all ghost and bosses now

Regarding the quick catch code... Like I had mentioned my concern with the code specifically for the Portrait ghosts is because you suck it from max HP to 0 instantly, you don't get pearl drops. The game checks to see if you picked up a big pearl for sucking 90% of a portraits ghosts health in one suction. In this case it's instantly caught, no big pearl is gotten, so at the end of the area you get a bronze frame. So if for example the quick catch did catch it instantly but it dropped all the pearls, or Luigi's is immune to all damage when sucking, we'd have a perfect plugin. I also mentioned having a code to make it so you always get a gold frame helps but that may take a little more digging.

EDIT: The Quick Catch code now works for bosses in addition to regular ghosts and Portrait ghosts... I don't know if it works on Boos though. I just played through the first area and you still get a bronze rank for sucking up Portrait ghosts because you don't get the big pearl. It just goes right to 0 HP.

What about the currency codes does it still hang at the money results screen?

I didn't actually test to see that. To test it I'd have to go through all of Area 1 again. But I don't exactly find it necessary to cheat my money because the mansion most likely gives you all the chances to get as much money as you will need by the end.

Well I tried it and it still hangs at the money results screen. Until that is fixed there is no point in using the currency codes. I want the currency codes to work because I don't want to worry about catching the money ghosts thought the mansion.

About the only thing you really have to worry about missing in terms of Money, is Speedy Spirits you can only find in certain places while the room is still dark... And Gold mice (which you can just try an infinite amount of times scanning the cheese. Its the ones that appear in certain places by random chance you can miss.) Oh and I guess the Gold Diamond you get from watering the plant by the area 2 boss.

Anyways I'm looking forward to when this cheat plugin is made just right.

Well that certainly can make sucking in ghosts on the regular mansion easier given how the hidden mansion is basically hard mode.

So whenever I start the game with the cheats enabled for some reason in my NN3ds the C-stick doesnt work but if I start without it it works. Any info on that?

I wasn't even aware that was an issue. I just straight up use NTR from the Homebrew menu in my Activity manager and I never had an issue like that... weird.

We're going on day 4 and still no sign of a final definitive plugin. Here's to hoping for a soon breakthrough!

In regards to the quick catch code - how are you forcing a ghost's health to 0? If you're modifying the rate at which the health decreases (from 1 per tick to 100 per tick), then adding a version which also rewards gold frames would be easy. If a ghost's health decreases by 9 per tick, then it could potentially reward the player with all of the pearls and still catch them fast. Would you mind sharing the address(es) you're modifying for that code? :)

I don't use the ghost health offset, also I can do that but I'm trying an other option because this one is not really good, I'll need to make a pointer for bosses and for all ghost :unsure:

Ah okay, I was curious to see if there's a pointer to the Poltergust's strength (how much damage it does to a ghost per tick). I remember the Gamecube version had the Poltergust do 1.5x damage in the Hidden Mansion and hoped the game designers stored that value somewhere instead of making each ghost easier. :lol:

If you need anything, I have completed the game with all platinum portraits. Don't know how this codes works so don't know if I can help with any info
