Will the 2017 model of R4 SDHC Dual Core work with a New 3DS XL that runs natively on 11.6 firmware?

Yes but you should get a better card. I suggest the R4i Gold 3DS Plus (r4ids.cn).

Actually, depending on where they got their card, it might be the same exact thing. Most of these cards have different names but do the same exact thing and have the same exact hardware inside but, I'm new here so you might want to do some more research before you listen to what I say.

The question seemed to imply that he doesn't have the card yet.
Mainly all cards from r4isdhc.com and r4i-sdhc.com share the same hardware (with a few smaller rebrands like r4i-gold.eu and r4i max).

Sorry. I meant to say where they are getting their card. But yes most of the cards from those websites share the same hardware. Just different websites.

Also if you do decide to get a flashcard I would look into a larger MicroSD. Even if your 3DS already has one. I find my self running out of storage quite often even with a 64Gb card.
