So how do I install this this on my SD card? Is it installed in the root?

yes as a noob instructions on what folder to put this in would be nice.
--Download the NRO file; which is the Save editor.
--Put your Switch's SD card into your PC
--Inside of your SD card, make a folder named "switch" and put the NRO file inside of that folder. (if you already have the "switch" folder, then just put the NRO file inside).
--Put your SD card back into your switch and boot up your CFW.
--**THIS PART IS VERY IMPORTANT** Open the BOTW game, then close the game completely as soon as the title menu screen loads. NOW open Homebrew and you will see the BOTW save editor. Select it. Then select the savefile you wish to edit.
--**Controls in the editor** Use DPAD to move. Press A to select an item. Press B to return one screen. Press Y to edit rupees.
--Once you are done, the screen should tell you what button to press to close the editor. Once you press it, it will tell you to save your edits. Say YES.
--Now close homebrew, open BOTW game, load your save and enjoy.

BTW, I have another noob question, on the link to github on the main page, where can I find the .nro file? I've already checked all the folders on the link but still not able to find it.

Thanks in advance.

Is the Master Sword's "quantity" actually its durability?
If yes, what's the max possible value for that?
I really hate the fact that it keeps breaking.

Quantity is quantity. Durability is durability. The Master Sword follows the max durability for any item in game which is about 6,500,000++. This editor however only maxes durability at 999,999.

If you want, export your save and edit it online using a different editor. http://www.marcrobledo.com/savegame-editors/zelda-botw/

I tried this one but my game is 1.5 and this one works just with 1.4 and below, or at least that's what I think because I haven't managed to make it work eith the online editor .

I already tried it, that's why I wrote about not not working on 1.5 as I didn't manage to get it work. Exported my save file with Edizon, opened the file with the online editor, then exported it back to the SD card, imported back again to the console and the edits just won't show up.

switch 5.10 here with cart version of zelda and all the dlc/updates.. marco editor works just fine with zelda 1.5 and dlc version 3.0..

you gotta use checkpoint to backup the savegame from the internal memory, get the save file to your pc, drag and drop and edit the thing, save, stick back on memory card and restore game using checkpoint again.. works just fine..

however, if you ADD a weapon/shield/item using the marco, it doesn't let you set the modifiers.. it just gives a 1.. set that to 999999 for high durability.. at least I've noticed that loading the savegame, saving it once in the actual game and reexport and edit again reveals the mods..

or you can use that BOTW GuI editor that you can run directly on the switch itself to just adjust the mods without exporting savegames again..
(also good option if you already have the weapons in the game, no need to do that whole export/import thing)

I have not tried using Edizon..just the BOTW GuI editor and Marco.. both worked..

make sure you edit the CORRECT savegame.. I tend to just make a new one that has a thumbnail thats easy to check so i dont edit the wrong one.

Tested on my SXOS Switch FW 5.1.0 with BOTW XCI (version 1.3.1 = no dlc, no update) and it crashes. Also only save 0 is shown.

Happens on my UK Switch 5.1 too, with SX OS 1.4 and trimmed BotW 1.5 (with DLC and all updates applied). As soon as I press A on Save Slot 0, Switch completely locks up and has to be reset by holding power button for 10 seconds. The previous save game editor for Switch (non GUI) works fine.

Run BotW first until the main menu. Close the game and then run the Save Editor GUI.

RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?

although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it

ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
