Just saying, he made that tweet after 4.55 already came out, and was telling people on 4.05 they should update to 4.55 in the same discussion, because there is obviously no reason to stay that low with a newer exploit, of course you wouldn't tell people on 5.01 to go to 5.05 when nothing for either of them has been released, it has nothing to do with release plans, it is just informing people that lack common sense.

He said that because, at the time, their webkit exploit (used as an initial entry point) didn't work on 5.05, only on 5.01.

But since now it does (and it's been confirmed to work as far as 5.50), you can safely assume that the next "jailbreak" will come to 5.05.

What kernel exploit they had was patched in a beta version of 5.50 (beta 3, if I'm not mistaken).

Edit: Either way, if you're on 5.01 (or lower), don't update to 5.05 or 5.50. Lower is always better.

Yes this means there’s a private kernel exploit for 5.50. SW is now an easy indicator for kernel exploits availability.

i'll just answer the guy lol.

it's a save editor that lets you edit saves (on the computer). you need to pay (pretty expensive)

If ps4 has hdr NOT NATIVE is it really hdr ? or just a lausy upscale ?
Also if i dont have a 4k tv is it really smart to boy a ps4 rather than a slim ?

You are confusing things. HDR (high dynamic range) has nothing to do with resolution (upscale). For the other question, a PS4 pro could use the extra compute power to use higher resolutions or to put more FPS (frame per seconds), anyway it's your choice.

what the diference between xbox with native hdr and ps4 pro with hdr not native ?

I don't think there's a non-native HDR thing, but I could be wrong.

The thing is PS4 Pro uses HDMI 2.0, which is capped with 18Gbps. When running 4k HDR, it's should be almost reaching it's bandwidth limit, and can't even run in RGB mode. Xbox One X use HDMI 2.1, which is 48Gbps in theory, thus it should be able to do HDR and lots of stuff better. But problem is, I doubt most people got an HDMI 2.1 capable TV....so guess there's no real differences?

He is NOT saying that 5.01 will get an exploit before 5.05. He's saying that it's safer to be on 5.01 rather than 5.05, as basic logic suggests that patched exploits for older firmwares are more likely to drop. It's a minor nuance, but people interpreting that as there being an explicit plan to release a 5.01 exploit before 5.05 are clutching at straws. The exploit may be compatible with 5.05 anyway.

i read further in the comments and saw him saying that 5.01 will get stuff sooner..

I would love to wait on a firmware and hack my PS4 if only for PS2 games... But playing online with my friends IS way too important for me. I would never wait on a firmware without internet or risk getting my tag banned.

yep, i love playing overwatch.
i got myself a 2nd ps4 for that game.

have a ps+ sub that lasts for another year and few months so i was not going to let that go to waste and i wanted to play ow badly , the game is an addiction.

i have my pro sit at 5.05 and my slimps4 on the latest.

You got a second PS4 for overwatch? You couldn't have played on your existing PC? Maybe you dont have a good enough pc?

yep , i did hear that it's best played on PCs.
but not everyone can afford a "good" PC.

so a 2nd ps4 was my cheapest option, got it new for around 200$.
