Forgive me if this is not the right place to post this, but thought I would share a small project I am currently working on:

I am currently developing an Android app that replicates the Switch UI (including home menu, boot screen, album, settings, news and controller settings) using OEM animations, sounds etc.

EDIT: This is NOT an emulator. This app simply mimics the Switch UI native in Android, to give the illusion of emulation, basically a port of the menus.

EDIT 2: 100 000 Downloads!

DOWNLOAD: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sim.jjb&hl=en

UPDATE 1.5.0:

EDIT 3: Wii U Simulator:

So.. what's the actual point of the app ? It won't play switch or be able to launch any games, it's just a ui right?

Right now its just UI, no special functions, but I am planning on implementing it as an Android launcher or possibly even a custom rom and adding several more futures such as the ability to save screenshots, recognise Amiibo with NFC etc. its just a demo right now. It can't play Switch games, but it could launch other apps.

damn half of the people in here failed the point
this is not an emulator or related to emulators, or related to switch hacking. (guess since it was posted in the switch hacking category helped to trigger the kiddos) it is pretty well explained in the first post. (altough the youtube video seems clickbaitish lol)

it's just a GUI app to have a switch appearance in your phone. it's kinda a skin for your phone....

it seems pretty nifty btw! good job!

Two uses I though of regarding this...
One, it'd be badass on RetroArch.
Two, would be seriously nice for Android TV.

Can't see much use on phones or tablets but definitely on Android TV.

Thanks for the feedback! I have published a few apps on the Playstore, but I am not really sure if this will pass due to copyright, I will however give it a shot, so Android TV should be no problem. I am not sure if Android TV's can install .apk files, but if they can the Playstore will not be an issue!

As for Retroarch: Although I use it myself on Wii U, I am not familiar with it from a developers perspective, but I will have a look!

This looks just like the real thing
Thanks! It literally is, all the animations are pulled from the OS frame by frame so if it did not look authentic I would be doing something wrong xD

Indeed this should be in xda-developers

It seems neat though. Try to support Android TV mode apps launching and banners, when it's stable enough for release.
I would be happy to change my launcher in my android tv box with this!

May me easy to implement as a them for RetroArch (also on Android).
And you can install .apk files in Android TVs, you just need a file manager (like ES File Explorer which is available on TV Play Store).

Would love to try it if you made one ^_^

Thanks for the info! I have a debug .apk ready, but don't have a Android TV to test it, so would you be interested in testing it for me?
