Playable till it crashed with ″The software was closed cause an error happenf″^_^

The Playstore .apk limit is 100mb so the menu is as good as it get's right now until I brake down the game further, I think the end result will be that the game will get to the "press B" to jump scene in cap kingdom before crashing, but more than that will require to much space (and memory usage)

Maybe you can look at the emulators that people are doing , it would be interesting if someone trys to emulate on android the switch too since is arm

I know yuzu has a Linux version, but Android lacks the standard GNU libraries required to run it, using a custom rom with the libraries would perhaps make it possible, but Android's C runtime library, bionic, is not binary compatible with the GNU libc anyway, so would need to recompile the whole thing with googles toolchain. I could try, but my understanding of C++ is so bad that that someone else will prob get it working a long time before I even start to understand half of it..

Update:

The app has reached over 11 000 downloads! I never imagined this would be that popular, thank you all for the support and constructive feedback!

To celebrate passing the 10 000 downloads milestone a new update (1.3.0) is going live including BOTW support, further improvements to performance, several visual bug fixes and starting to add Bluetooth support for joy con / pro controller and of course "General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience"

Development on the launcher version has now also started. Don’t have ETA yet, but during the next month it should be ready.

How is this app not breaking copyright laws? Just wondering...

Because it is not a emulator, so the way it works is there are several objects with animations in them that trigger depending on what the user is clicking, thus working more like a interactive video, somehow Google thought that was fair use lol after I gave them that bullshit explanation.

At the moment this is useles, but I think it would be better if this will be a real Launcher where we can set the Switch icons with real Android functions (Settings icon open "Settings", Album icon open "Gallery", etc) and if we can put apps in the games squares

That is the plan! The current app will be seperate from that though. I have started development on it, busy weeks, but should have something on the Play Store soon.

I like the UI, neat thinking. Will be fun as a cosmetic app launcher, since I really only use about 5-6 apps on my phone anyway.

Looking forward to it!

This kinda makes me wonder why companies like Nintendo/Sega etc don't make phones. Who wouldn't rather have a Nintendo phone over an iPhone/Samsung?

Did you know
some some people use your app to say″You can play Mario odyssey on your phone now!″
and cut the video before the press b crash

I believe Sony had phones that had official support for certain PSX/PSP games at one point, but they didn't sell too well.

Yeah, Xperia Play was a sort of hybrid phone/PSP Go. I didn't necessarily mean a gaming phone though, just a normal phone designed and made by a gaming company. Razer did an okay attempt recently but didn't really stray much from convention.

You should get rid of the ads. You will not get away with making money off Nintendo's property, I can guarantee you that.

I guess, but not ready so say goodbye to the $25-$45 ad revenue per day yet lol omce Nintendo sends a C&D I can get away with just removing the app. I have not heard of any fan projects where ads have been an issue for the devs?

Yeah I have seen a few vidoes on youtube doing it, but I am not going to police the comment sections if people don't read the app discription or even the title it is not my problem lol, I can't keep up with the reviews or comments at this point anyways

UPDATE 1.4.0

If anyone has experience getting client certs working in Android webview hit me up! I am unable to get the Eshop servers to use the certs in app.

Switch Simulator has now reached 35 000 downloads, why people seem to want something this useless is beyond my understanding, but as long as there is demand I will support it!

Version 1.5.0 adds controller support and Splatoon 2 + the famous "General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience"

This would be cool as an app launcher.
Agreed, that would give it an actual purpose to exist. But only if the launcher version has no ads.
It would also need to be redesigned so it supports portrait mode. I doubt anyone uses their launcher exclusively in landscape. Also, controller support.

Last edited by smileyhead,
Forgive me if this is not the right place to post this, but thought I would share a small project I am currently working on:

Na, everythings cool -we are a Switch Community so you're right there.

Although - you should consider posting that on xda-developers aswell. There you have a bigger base of android people and most of the guys there also know how to handle adb shell and logcat so that they might help you in finding bugs/problems ;-)
neverless, great work!

Which Android Version is needed? I do think to install that on my Xperia Z2 Tablet :)

gj lol, I bet you're actually using copyright stuff (like all the game logos, etc)

People want it because they think it's an emulator.

But honestly, just do what you're doing now, you directly clarify that it's not an emu so if people get pissed it's not your fault :P
