PS4 Kernel Exploit Released for 4.05 OFW

After teasing the exploit recently on Discord, SpecterDev has officially released his kernel exploit for PS4 firmware version 4.05.

Official announcement

Code:
https://github.com/Cryptogenic/PS4-4.05-Kernel-Exploit

TLDNR (From GitHub):
In this project you will find a full implementation of the "namedobj" kernel exploit for the PlayStation 4 on 4.05. It will allow you to run arbitrary code as kernel, to allow jailbreaking and kernel-level modifications to the system. This release however, does not contain any code related to defeating anti-piracy mechanisms or running homebrew. This exploit does include a loader that listens for payloads on port 9020 and will execute them upon receival.

In case you want to get a PS4 <=4.05

I am using 10.0.0.x-adresses in my LAN and also had problems with sending the ps4ftp-payload after hex-editing the file. Since a 10.0.0.X address uses less bytes than a 192.168.0.X address I had to pad the file with 0's until it matched the original file. In the end, the IP-address should begin at Hex adr. 5900 and be padded with 0's so that the next data begins at Hex adr. 591D.

This is not a clean solution, I feel filthy using this instead of just compiling it with the correct IP from the start but it gets the job done for now.

If you send me the IP for your PS4/PC I can compile that payload with your addresses. As posted here;

Whatever works, works. I was tempted to just change my IP to the one in the already compiled payload but my ISP has it so my IPs start with 10.0.X.XXX. It just wasn't liking that IP being hex edited into it. There's a tutorial at a place I can't mention that shows you how to set up the PS4 SDK and if anyone wants me to compile an FTP payload for them (If hex editing doesn't work.) then I'd be glad to do so.

Thanks for the offer but it's working now so no need. My Linux server with the SDK is currently facing some downtime otherwise I'd try compiling it myself.

At this point, yes people can't go online while homebrew. But at some point it'll just be like Vita I think, can have PSN at least partially works.
Like a spoofer you are saying.Thats what the ps3 had but you could play backups on it,so spoofing your firmware was required to play backups that required a higher firmware before the rebug shit came out.

What happened to the supposed 5.01 full CFW in development that was stolen from the devs own computer?
It was all over my Twitter feed but I never got why that means it won't be released

Sent from my toaster running Rebug

no bundle, i just bought it about this time last year when the pro came out. it's probably one of the first batch of pros because it wouldn't even have the pro benefits, like the boost(?) mode, that was only added in 4.0 i think.

In the pc there is piracy since always so more bigger files there , so time to start getting bigger hdd

Modern age, if one doesn't have a NAS storage time to look into one, re guy complaining about 50 gig files. In the Movie sharing sites, it's pretty common for people to have a 16+ TB setup to store Rerux Blueray collection. If this PS4 project evolves to enable network file access like PS3 could use non-usb storage that is pretty awesom! I learned my lesson going apesh$t crazy hoarding xbox360/wii/ps3 garbage I'd never play anyway. It's all about minting a good library, an exclusive library, stuff ya just can't play on PC like the Metal Gear remastered / Uncharted content.

PS4 Scene suddenly gone quiet again since the Linux release. I thought it would explode at least a little bit! Still no news on running games or anything else exciting.....
