can someone help me please?

I tried to update my n3ds from a9lh to b9s and I followed every single step on 3ds.guide but when I go to the point where I should reinsert my sd card to my 3ds and press start to get to SafeB9SInstaller I just get godmode9 (after asking here I was told that I allready had b9s on my 3ds before doing all of this)

and now when I start my 3ds without pressing start I only see my dsiware games and I don't find my 3ds games or freeshop or themes or anything like that.

I tried formatting my card and using a new card but I still get the godmode9 + when I turn on the device it says that it cannot read my card.

It's okay with me if I lose all my games and everything. I just want to be able to use the freeshop again. Can I do that?

I know my issue is weird but I don't know maybe someone can help me.
like if anyone could help me with what files I should have left in my device if I weren't trying to update it? then I could just remove the updating files and try again.
any help would be appreciated.

What precisely is happening when it fails to trigger? Turns itself off or boots into sleep mode/doesn't turn on at all?

Nothing happens at all. The 2DS stays in sleep mode, the blue LED keeps fading on and off like it would normaly do in sleep mode. When i turn sleep mode off it returns back to the 3DS main-menu like it would normaly do on any other 2ds/3ds.

I have both an O3DS and a N3DS, both are hacked.

If I were to dump my physical cart into a CIA, does it leave any sort of identifying mark or other sort of trace that will make it obvious were I to install the CIA on both of my systems and thus possibly get me banned?

I tried dumping both a 3DS and CIA version of the same cart on both my O3DS and N3DS, using the same version of the same program (Decrypt9WIP).... and the CRCs of both the 3DS and CIA dumps were different from the ones dumped using the O3DS and N3DS. Shoulden't these have been identical if I used the same version of the same program to dump the same cart, just on different 3DS systems?

Either the cart isn't flashed properly or you aren't holding the buttons right. Hold Start, Select, X before pressing power only briefly, then hold the buttons for a few seconds before releasing.

You won't get banned by playing the same cart dump, when converted to a cia the headers are gone (which is the individual identifying part of a cartridge). Not sure why the dumps are different.

Not sure why the dumps are different.

I am extremely baffled by this, EVERY time I dump my cart, the CRC is different.

I even tried just doing a dump, copying that off my 3DS to a PC, and then immediately doing another dump with that same 3DS and same default settings.... CRC was still different between the two files!

Ok, i think i have made this part wrong then. because i kept pressing the power button together with the other 3 buttons. I will give it a try once im back at home.

In case that the flashcard is not flashed properly: Would it be possble to reflash it? Its the ace3ds X, and it is supposed to be flashed out of the box.

If it is preflashed then that shouldn't be the problem here

Hi everyone. I'm in this huge cfw mess and I really need help.

Well being the newbie that I am, I tried following the 3DS guide to finally install cfw on my 11.3 Old version of 3DS.
This was like 2 or 3 weeks ago so I cant really remember how far I went (IM REALLY SORRY FOR THAT) but I know I did not update, so I didn't follow the Section II of the Finalizing step which was updating your system... but I can tell you that I DID install boot9strap. I stopped in the middle because - before following the next step or updating, I opened homebrew again - only to get a stack dump error over and over again. ( It worked the first time though)

I thought if I went any further I would get a brick so I deleted all the files from the SD card to start over again. But I soon noticed that after putting my SD card in my system, my 3DS wouldn't boot anymore. I freaked out until I found this thread telling me to install the boot.3dsx in the Luma 3ds file could boot it again, which it did.

So I started from the beginning and put all the files unto my SD card, but when I tried to launch homebrew, it showed another stack dump error.
I figured then that something wasn't wrong with the files I was putting into the SD card, and I must have messed with the internal system the first time. SO I thought I should get a new, clean system so I can start carefully from the beginning again... and I did a factory reset...which didn't help.

But I was so lost at that point and had no idea what to do until I finally decided to ask for help.
I'm sorry for making this so difficult guys, but I would totally appreciate it if someone could give me precise instructions on what to do from here in a noob - friendly way.
BTW here's where I stand now : A partly installed cfw on an 11.3 3DS, which I tried to wipe by deleting the files on my SD card and doing a factory reset, and now currently with the files up to boot9strap on my SD card... :/
Thanks. :)

I tried again now, still no luck. Im wondering now if it would be possible to reflash the ace3dsx card.

Edit: It worked now, it was all my fault. I was thinking all the time that you had to start the 3DS, then go to sleep mode and user the buttons. Now i realized it had to be turned off. Thans for the great help anyway!

ntrboot_flasher should have the option to dump your cart, since if you want to restore it later you need that backup
I don't see that option...
(I am using ds_ntrboot_flasher_dsi.nds btw)

I have a problem with FE:Warriors. I downloaded it and patch 1.1 with FBI from that titlekeys database, but it doesn't show on the desktop and when I try launching from title list in FBI I get "SD card was removed, press home" and patch just crushes the system. I have tried both EU and US versions with same results. I'm on 1.4.2 luma and a9lh and this is the first game I'm experiencing problems with.

Put boot.firm from Luma on your SD card (https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases) and follow https://3ds.guide/finalizing-setup

Hello, have attempted a hardmod of a n3dsxl v11.5 and have run into an issue, can anyone help?

I've been following the hardmod tutorial on this site and the 3ds.guide tutorial. So far I've done the following:
  1. Installed hardmod
  2. Successfully created 4 nand dumps using win32diskimager all of same size at about 20Mb/s, so connection seemed good. They all were 3,813,376kb in size.
  3. Patched my nand dump using hardmod-b9s-installer1.0, B9S1.3 and created NAND-patched.bin
  4. Wrote NAND-patched.bin to nand using win32diskimager
  5. Put Luma boot.firm on root of sd card
The problem is that when I boot now it just boots as normal, I don't see any CFW screen. I've been told that if I have b9s and try to boot without boot.firm on the sd card then it will not boot up properly, but when I try that it does, so I guess I don't have B9S! But not sure which part of the process I did wrong?

Trying to troubleshoot:
  1. I'm assuming that the nand dump is fine as otherwise would have presumably bricked it if I'd flashed back a corrupted nand?
  2. The write process using Win32DiskImager went smoothly so I assume it wrote correctly. Again, I'm guessing it would have bricked if not?
  3. So the only thing I can guess went wrong is somehow I failed to correctly patch B9S to the nand? But if B9S changed my NAND.bin to NAND-patched.bin then this would seem to have worked correctly? The cmd screen of the installer didn't mention any errors
Anyone any ideas? Sorry very new to this. Thanks
