even if i have a switch and in hackable frameware now,i will update.
it's not worth it to not update and mario odyssey is coming soon.

but i don't have a switch,i wish i have a switch :cry:

Thanks for clarifying. I'm guessing when they get the keys there will already be an exploit for that firmware too, as it would be needed to get said keys?

I updated the other day, as was wanting my Splatoon fix. To be honest, I'm not butt hurt. When it comes to piracy (which I'm not against by any means). I'm now in a financial position to buy games.

As far as homebrew/emulation is concerned, I have other devices that fit the bill quite nicely.

It wont matter if they dont match nintendos if you just want to play roms, playing online may be an issue though,

When i mean play roms i mean games that require higher then 3.0.0 to start and play.

It will matter because even if ROM loading is achieved any game compiled recently won't work on 3.0.0 because of the missing keys.

Also the Switch won't connect online to a Switch on a different firmware.

Well that sucks. When will Nintendo learn, even if we have to destroy their console and rebuild it, we will get our Homebrew.

surely you can just get around that with some sig checks etc.

It might not necessarily happen, but my understanding is it's feasible and would solve a lot of issues with perpetually staying on a ≤3.0.0 software version.

This exploit gives full permissions to any service, that's why it's so important.

Big question about this exploit, is it an exploit 100% inside the console, or does it require to buy a game to use it?
