Hey guys, thanks for making this thread. I have cfw on my hacked 3ds but its not my actual NNID. I used the two 3ds method cause my 3ds was on 11.4. Is there anyway that I can log into my actual NNID without screwing everything up? Can I just format system memory and still have cfw and if so can I then log into my actual NNID? Thanks...

Yes if you have finished installing CFW just format then sign into your original NNID.

Hi so I did that and put in my sd card again and none of my games or custom theme is popping up......am I screwed?

That's what is meant to happen - it told you this before you formatted. You can redownload your bought games from the eShop. For FBI etc follow https://3ds.guide/finalizing-setup again.

Well yeah but I thought that since I put my sd card full of data back in everything would pop back up?

No, formatting changes the encryption key. If you restore a NAND backup from before the format the SD card contents will work again. You miay get an error when you try to connect to the eShop (the console will think you have the NNID signed in but the servers will disagree). It might be able to be fixed by holding X and Y when you see the error. If not, you can inject a blank nnidsave.bin using GodMode9. Instructions are in https://3ds.guide/troubleshooting

How would I restore a NAND backup since I transferred all of my data on my sd card to a harddrive before formatting, would the NAND backup be in there? If not couldn't I just redownload all the games even if it takes awhile since I don't know how else to get everything back.

Yes you can just install the games again. When you made the NAND backup you should have copied it to a safe place. If you left it on your SD card it might be in gmout (I think).

Does Luma 8.1.1 fix the freeshop error, which gives you an error screen everything time you close freeshop by pressing start?

We don't know what's causing that, so why don't you try it and see?

If anything goes wrong, I can replace the 8.1.1 boot.firm with the previous boot.firm.bak or 8.1 boot.firm right?

I have asked this Q before but that was a long time ago. So ill ask again just in case. If you have a 3ds on like 11.1 or something and install cfw via 3ds guide, is the system still at 11.1 and luma is just tricking the console to a higher fw? And if my console is at 11.1 can i use said console to install cfw on another console that is much higher? Or do i still need to do the hard mod to downgrade it.

Your 3ds will be updated to 11.5 while following the guide. You can then use the console to install cfw on another console using dsiwarehax.
