Got some reel nice deals this time. For once. Normally barely any game I want participates in these sales, but these are the games I got for just 20 bucks (and if you live outside the EU its about 16 due to the fact that you guys dont have VAT):
  • Gunpoint Special Editon (3,50)
  • Darkest Dungeon (9,19)
  • Pony Island (1,64)
  • Pixel Privateers (4,94)
Those prices are with VAT. I think Pony Island was the best deal for me in this sale.

I bought Pixel Privateers since I was kinda hoping to buy it at some point when it got released but I lost track of it, and when I saw it up for Steam sale, my senses just tingled. Darkest Dungeon was... always somewhere on "I wanna buy" but it was always too damn expensive. Gunpoint... I added it to my Steam wishlist two years ago, and it only has positive reviews. Pony Island is just good. It won Jim Sterlings GOTY 2016, and from what little I saw of it, it seems well worth it.

The one game I wanted works like shit on my laptop :^)
I'd played other games that I thought were demanding just fine, so I was expecting it to work a little bit, but even with the graphics down all the way? Nah.

Pony Island was in a Humble bundle a few months back I believe.

I noticed that having the currency in USD makes the game prices double than buying on my original currency, US tax is high O_O

Got too many bills to pay. Maybe by the end I will have money to afford some stuff. Been needing to pick up a few games. Need that Arma 3 DLC Bundle 2.

Quick check before the store dies again and meh. Probably just grab snake pass and a few really old games I've been meaning to grab. Rabi-ribi is still just 30%, I guess the world will end if it ever goes lower.

Will look elsewhere for newer games, I miss the old sales. Prey is £25 on sale, it's been £25 + dlc for ages elsewhere. Bring back the flash and daily sales.
It's well worth it even at 30%. I have like 73 hours playtime now and there's still a few things I want to do, and I think there's DLC coming out soon too.

I blew forty bucks on the original rocksmith and a bunch of song packs. While you can argue that I would never get skilled enough to really learn all the tracks from RS2014 and all the CDLC, at least I'll actually DO something with these purchases. :D

I also transferred 50 extra bucks to my paypal account :shy:

in the past there are some selected games that are displayed into the front page, usually this means that day you can get the better deal for that game (they will be still available during the sale but for a lower discount)
not sure if it's still true...
Nope. They got rid of that at the same time they implemented their return policy. While it removes a bit of the magic (oooh...which game will be on extra sale in 8 hours? :D ), it's clear to see why: people would just get a discounted game and abuse the return policy if the game goes on a higher discount (to re-purchase it at that lower discount). Since the return policy effectively fixes every game in this period to its lowest price point anyway, there's no reason not to put every game at that lowest price point to begin with (unless you count "to add more work for both buyers and valve purchase return staff" as a valid reason ;) ).
