Hardware Wii U input lag

I've been getting input lag in Pokken Tournament and Xenoblade. Both my TV and my gamepad are receiving the same input lag. I read somewhere that unplugging the HDMI cable fixed it, but my gamepad still gets the lag. halp.
PS: i tried playing the games on loadiine and installing it via wupinstaller. For some reason super smash bros is fine though

Hm, well how bad is the input lag? Have you tried other controllers?

I tried isolating my Wii U but it didn't work

not sure how would give a specific answer as to how bad the input lag is. the only controller i have is the gamepad and some wii motes

PS: pokken tournament has no lag in the menus, but ingame there is.

Try putting your hdmi source in PC mode.

i just found out how to do it, i'll test and see if it improves
edit: still the same, i don't think it's my tv's fault since my gamepad gets the same lag

I had this same issue, only my gamepad worked but my wiimote and pro controler had input lag. I had to switch out my router from my ISP.
