Hi @vb_encryption_vb I made the mistake of upgrading my black Friday 3ds to 11.2.0-35U. I was wondering if you could PM me with the price of the hard modding service and the estimated time frame. Do you just do the downgrade or would you be able to install Luma3ds for me as well?

Hey @vb_encryption_vb, as many others I'm looking to get a hardmod. Got New 3dsXL fresh out of the box, never been online, 11.1.0-34U, looking to downgrade and homebrew for online streaming. Please PM price and approx. turn around time. (I know you're probably busy with other requests and holidays) thanks!

@pbanj was fantastic in helping me get my o3DS back up and running. O3DS with no NAND backups and OTP brick on SafeA9lHInsraller seemed hopeless, but he did research and helped me for a not so bad price. Cheers.

I'm new to a lot of the CFW stuff. My O3DSXL is on 11.2 and I had been using a blue button sky3ds to play a handful of games and freakyforms exploit for emulators. I'm using blargsnes to play SNES games and it works pretty well, but I can't play GBA games as they play at half speed or not at all. If I have someone do the hardmode to downgrade, would I be able to play GBA and SNES games without the sky3ds card? What is the advantage of installing the CFW? If it's worth doing the CFW, then I would probably have to have someone do it, soldering skills are way out of practice.

You can install mGBA directly to the Home Menu (through CIA). I think this is the fastest you'll get for GBA emulation. I have not tested speeds though, so you should ask around or search about it.

Yeah, I believe mGBA is one of the ones I tried out. Worked the best of the ones I tried, decent for some games if I turned off the sound, but a little choppy still. I saw a couple posts here and there that if you do CFW that you can play GBA games without issue, so was thinking maybe it was a limitation of the emulator versus the hardware. Then again, a lot of those pages I saw were from a couple years ago :)

I'll do some digging, as I'm interested too.

I'm currently running 11.2 CFW, so if there are any new developments I'll check it out.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I see in a couple places that you can pack each GBA ROM as a .CIA (like Virtual Console/DSiWare games).

This and the .CIA version of mGBA seem to be the fastest.

Cool, thanks! I wonder if that might be the reason it runs a little slow too since it's running off the card instead of being a .cia version.

"That iso site"
has .CIA versions of GBA games.

If you prefer to make backups yourself, you can do it here https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-ultimate-gba-vc-injector-for-3ds.438057/

Not very sure why it's running slowly, but I hope this helps!
If you need anything else, you can PM me (so we don't hijack this thread). Can't help you with the hardmod though xD

Hi I Got a New Ninendo 3DS XL and it's running on 11.2 and I'm very interested in a hardmod/downgrade. Wanting to use it more for video streaming/recording. Please message me a price and turnaround time when you're available. Thanks!

Sent my 2DS off to @gamesquest1 today and sent them the payment as soon as I left the post office.

Hoping they receive it tomorrow (Saturday) because I always feel anxious about royal mail xD

So far communication has been fab. Answered questions rapidly and ensured all my data will be OK.

I'm so excited to get it back with cool CFW. I shall write another post when it gets returned to me with awesome CFW on it. :3

But the service so far second to none :D
