No, it simply won't works like that. Remember, Australia is getting their copies on the 18th. EUR and AUS are both PAL region and share the same servers.
I would avoid getting online before the 18th just because your 3DS can be flagged.Ah k, thank you.

They can mark the review copies, and usually they are the very first few printed copies so their identification will be pretty distinctive
