I got a question, why must config be shared across cores?
I think that because general architecture of RetroArch have multi-core in one application one configuration. Then, although 3DS homebrews are seperated by core but it still using only one configuration. I guess

mGBA just get a 0.5 stable version, with mainly full game Boy support. I'm not sure if a gpu renderer or dynarec is implemented yet.

then they need to split up the one config file to have settings for all cores. there certainly has to be some kind of workaround.

also, recently i had problems with crashing in gpsp. thing was, the game worked perfect for days. but then, it would constantly crash a few hundred frames in (together with the whole system)
and its working perfect now. but for a few hours, it just didn't want to work at all. and this has happened with a few games now. other games work fine bw. its just that it seems to want to crash for one game at a time

Are you using gpSP on the New 3DS? The crashing is a known issue related to the dynarec, but in my testing, it seems to be happening mainly on the N3DS. I'm also using gpSP on the 2DS, and the random crashes aren't happening there; if there is a crash on 2DS/o3DS, it's mainly from trying to load an incompatible game. My educated guess is that something about gpSP's dynarec isn't playing nice with N3DS architecture. On the plus side, this is one of the few times 2DS/o3DS users are getting a superior emulation experience compared to N3DS users. :D

Does anyone know how to make button mappings share keys? For example, I'd like L and Y to share (not replace) the same button mapping on GBA.

I'm also curious about macros. Is there a way to make one button trigger multiple keypress? Like have R button trigger A+B+C.

Thanks for the list.

Yeah the tearing is a particularly bad regression - can you tell me at which point this started happening? A date or something? It might make it easier to pin down. I already have an idea of what could cause it.

In other news, the 2048 should probably finally work on 3DS. 'Start Core' should now start up the 2048 core.

Any progress and the tearing?

hey guys can anybody confirm that cps3 roms runs on 3ds? I seen people talk about it and screenshots, but I cant get them to run even though they are recognized in FBA core no matter what I do.

OP says FBA only supports CPS1 and 2. Where did you see people talk about CPS3? If it's possible, I'd like to know, too.

Not sure if this is the place to ask but what settings/cfg should I use to run Crash Team Racing on PCSX ReArmed? I've seen other people running it but I can't seem to get passed the second screen (I get a black screen). I'm using a N3DS and the latest nightly build.

Point me in the right direction if this is not the place for such things

Btw, 493rd post, Arceus would be proud

OP posted this as well, but here is what I did a few days ago to get decent results.

BTW, you will want to use the stable build of 1.3.3, or you will likely get crashes. I also use DSP audio driver.

In Driver Settings, set Audio Resampler Driver to "Nearest"

Turn off Vsync and HW Bilinear Filtering in Video Settings

Turn off Audio Sync Enable in Audio settings

You will also want to be sure that your game is not a compressed .ecm file. PCSX Rearmed can only use uncompressed .bin files in my experience. There is a tool available that can convert .ecm to uncompressed .bin called "ecm tools," and a quick google search will give you a link for that.

Tried downloading the stable build and setting up all the settings you suggested but it still won't get passed the second screen.. Am I supposed to wait a while?

EDIT: Woops, downloaded stable build 1.3.6, didn't realise 1.3.3 wasn't the latest one.. I'll try with that one then I'll report

A few things I forgot to mention: I'm using the .cia build. 3DSX is probably going to be horrible no matter what.

When you mention the second screen, is this an ingame screen? If so, I am not sure what the problem may be since PCSX likely has issues with some games but not others. Another user might have better insight on this, though.

Edit: You might try waiting a minute or so at that screen, just in case.

I'm also using the .cia build. And yup, the in-game screen, first goes the sony entertainment america presents and then there's the one with a bunch of text. After that it goes black and stays that way.

anybody have any advice for a guy who can't get anything involving CD streaming (in particular, Redbook in PCE-CD and SCD games) to run above 40 FPS?

Weird, it works fine for me (too slow to be playable, but it works). Is it just this game that doesn't work? There could be some problem with your bin+cue or your BIOS. Try using the same files on a PC PS1 emulator.
