QUOTE said:Wiikey update: ETA 1 week!
We have received positive news from the developers. The long-awaited upgrade to wiikey is basically finished, and is now being tested on different systems to ensure that is is working smoothly. We expect that it will be available to the public around May 15.
We would also like to point out that making the upgrade incompatible with clones have not caused any delays in the process.
The only feature I've heard so far is the GCOS that plays DVD R9s. The clones are exactly the same as the original wiikeys. No way they can brick them.

Does it finaly patch clones?
It shouldn't cause trouble as it only edits the data in the EEPROM.i recently used www.wiikey.com.cn's config disc when the real www.wiikey.cn site is down............i wonder if that will mess up my chip and not let me use the new upgrade? i have the real wiikey.
I would hope so, right now the WiiFree is more compatible and capable than the WiiKey, so the update had better add some functionality!you think the this update will make some of the games that we couldnt play before playable

So you're saying other mod chips are able to play Naruto Shippuuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX?
